Stopped here with my wife accidentally and loved it! The small visitor center has some really nice specimens that both children and adults would enjoy. The marsh trails were nice but the walk along the beach is a must! We saw well over 40 Brown...More

Awesome place with all kinds of wildlife to be seen. Walk or ride bikes to the Washwoods village (8.2 miles from the visitor center).

This little gem is worth the trip if you are a birder. Access is restricted art times in order to protect migratory populations.

I went here alone to check out the scenery and was surprised at how nice it was to hike here and on the beach. It's quiet, serene and beautiful.

A gem in Southern Virginia Beach. Enjoy a walk through nature and pure silence. Combination of ocean, beach, marshlands, etc.

Visited Back bay for the first time. Beautiful trails and boardwalks. Bring water if you plan on seeing more than the trails near the parking area. Very pleasant staff at the visitor center.

I have 2 children 4 and 7 when we went there and they loved it! They were content with just seeing a blue heron and a couple turtles.😊
