Owl's Creek is home to the Virginia Aquarium (a favorite spot), several rope climbing courses with zip lines across the creek, the National Geographic 3D theater, and waterway sightseeing boat tours. There is plenty of parking. Plenty of camera opportunities and memory making moments.

This place gets packed on weekends. There are boaters, kayakers, and paddle boarders along with folks visiting the aquarium next door. Fishing can be good in Owls Creek especially out near the jetty but watch out for the boat traffic. The Pirate Boat hit a Kayaker a couple of years ago !

Lots to do such as kayaking, etc BUT the creek is crowded and there are lots of boats with limited visibility. This is not the place for beginners and that is much of what is here. They don't mix well with large boats.

Beautiful weather and great area for enjoying the water. Va Beach Parks and Recreation held a kayak outing at Owls Creek and as always, they did a wonderful job. Attendees experience ranged from beginner to advanced and everyone seemed to have a good time. We launched at the Owls Creek boat ramp and paddled past the NOAA boat, VA Aquarium,... More

Located in Owl creek's public boat launch is Ocean Eagle Kayak Adventure. I recently went on their 7:30 tour and let me tell you; IT WAS AMAZING. The guides were knowledgeable, patient, and very nice. They run 7 days a week (when ever its not thundering is what they said) and you have to call before hand to set an... More

Just seconds from the hustle and bustle of Rudee Inlet, enter a wonderland of wildlife and wetlands! The Owl Creek Watershed has the highest salinity of any waterway in the City of Virginia Beach, and supports a diverse ecosystem. There are 100 acres of salt marsh currently remaining. These wetlands provide many valuable roles, including filtering pollutants, providing flood and... More
