This is a nice relaxing stop away from the bustle of the boardwalk and main beach area. Hike or drive and slow down your pace for the afternoon.

Enjoy a walk or bike ride through this gorgeous park. The birds are spectacular and the scenery is breathtaking. A nice bike ride from the boardwalk for those who can do more than 20 miles.

We were part of a "senior" group and had a tour of the area. We are not sure that the public can do that - but, camping is very available - walk-in, walk-out. We had met our guide the night before. She is a nature...More

This was a good place for a bike ride through the beautiful trees. It is easy to get to but yet remote in the middle of Virginia Beach. The bike ride was easy.

I've lived in Virginia beach for 30 years and this was my first visit to the park. We biked in. It was probably about 14 miles of biking total with a couple miles of hiking. To start off you'll need to park at the Back...More

We did not see a single snake in the two days we visited. However, a fellow traveler had a video of one but He told us they stay away from humans. We just need to pay attention to where we are walking. Have a great day!
