The house was big and beautiful and looked just like the pictures on the website. No surprises. We would definitely rent it again. This is our second summer in a row, and I hope that next summer will be the same destination. Make sure you pick up groceries and beverages before you hit the neach. Note: There were no lifeguards on duty where we were on the beach.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten July 21, 2023
- Shirl C7 contributionsAlways Sandbridge11 years of Sandbridge Beach - such a hidden gem,not as crowded or touristy as VB. Clean sand, small crowds at beach. Water is warm mostly. Only homes and condos to rent,no hotels. Only a block or so,if you're not oceanfront. There's a store, find anything there, including souvenirs, fresh sandwiches, donuts, specials of the day. Closeby, there's an ice cream shop, a fresh seafood place to buy and do urself, 2 souvenir shops. If you want main street stores,10 min.away. wish we'd have found this beach years ago. I like quaint.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten August 2, 2023
- Wanderer296824698781 contributionHidden GemHad a wonderful time. Quiet beach, great clean condo one block away. Highly recommend Tropical Breeze condo through Siebert Realty. Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony listening to the ocean and birds. Only 12 units in Seaside at Sandbridge. Nice pool to enjoy. Not your typical party town. Gem that few people know about. Baja is a short distance away for drinks and dinner.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten August 10, 2023
- CGTeachOakland, Maryland2 contributionsBest family vacation area with beach houses!Sandbridge is the perfect family beach! We have stayed varying distances from the beach. Oceanfront is fabulous! Our favorite is on the canal. It's not a long walk to the beach. We take bicycles and kayaks. It's perfect for the kids to ride bicycles and for longer excursions as a family. We love to drop kayaks in the water on the canals and just paddle for hours. There are small restaurants north and south. Both have delicious food. We like to meal prep our side dishes to go with any fresh fish/seafood that we can get locally. There are a few places nearby. Walmart is a short distance too for grocery pick-up. Overall, this is where we are making family vacation memories with our kids, ages 12 & 13. (They have been to Florida and Caribbean; they will tell you this is their favorite.)Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten December 2, 2023

The lack of customer service from Siebert Realty put a major damper on an otherwise enjoyable stay. We will not rent from Siebert again. Broken dishwasher, inadequate kitchenware, dirty appliances, bug-covered deck and deck furniture, unusable boat/kayak launch, uncut lawn are some of the issues that we encountered.

We enjoyed what had to be the most private oceanfront experience on the east coast. Long stretches of beach without anyone around. Peaceful and beautiful!

Our family spent $16,832 to rent 3100 Sandfiddler Rd. in Sandbridge, VA for one week this August through Sandbridge realty, now part of Vacasa. We experienced bedbugs, two broken toilets, a clogged bathroom sink, one bedroom and bath with no air-conditioning, inoperative sliding doors, most electrical outlets too loose to hold plugs, stained kitchen cabinet shelves with old shelf paper, parking for 6 cars max, not the 10 advertised, loose refrigerator shelves, greasy kitchen fan with no cover, two combo bath/showers with no shower curtain, old dishwashers, worn furniture including outdoor wooden chairs with splinters/missing paint. We spent two days getting some issues corrected including two visits by pest inspectors, who found bed bug castings and stains caused by bed bugs in the mattress in the affected bedroom. We requested a 20 percent refund by phone and email (twice) and heard nothing. Be warned and avoid this property and the rental company. This was our first family gathering in 3 years with travelers coming from England, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Virginia and Maryland, so it was a big disappointment to be in this sad, too-worn rental that ruined much of the vacation for too many of us.

Thank-you to the owners of Regency South for opening up this beautiful home and allowing so many families to create so many memories. This was our 15th year and we have stayed in many homes, including The Regency, The Regency North, Aria, and others, but none compare to The Regency South. It is so evident that the owners take care and pride in this property. We wanted for nothing and everything was pristine for our arrival. It's the first time ever that we DID NOT have to contact the realty company for any maintenance items or repairs. The owners did their own personal walk through with us on our arrival and explained how everything operated. They also provided a wonderful welcome gift and thanked us for choosing their home. Just taking the time to prepare a binder book with all information on how to operate the theatre room, lights, pool fountains , etc. showed that they wished to make their guests visit relaxing and easy. If you have an EV they have a charger provided for your convenience as well as a golf cart charger in the event you choose to rent one. Check-in was easy with Siebert's Keyless app system. The app provided all information regarding check-in, garbage/recycle schedule, propane replacement, maintenance and housekeeping, and of course, when ready, check-out. So much better than having to stop at the realty office before check-in along with all of the other renters. Kudo's for that ! We are fortunate enough this year to have rented The Regency South for Thanksgiving as well. I look forward to our visit with members up to 4 generations in attendance. Family, Turkey, Football, and Sandbridge in the Fall, who could ask for more. We will try to always rent Regency South when we can, but it is a hot commodity that often rents fast, The Regency South, is not a rental house; it is a home. I look forward to our next stay

We rented the Sea Salt beach house through Seibert Realty.
The property’s condition was totally misrepresented. Pictures are included to share the exact issues. One safety issue was a hole in a kayak avail on the property.
Main Concerns:
Kayak had a hole in it – my 13 year-old son went out with his younger brother and aunt/uncle. Not long after they went out into the bay, did the green kayak take on water – he had to be towed back by my brother and luckily they had a spot for him to sit on the trip back to shore – this is completely unacceptable and could have been a life-threatening situation had it not been for my brother being prepared for anything. This ALONE should have been addressed while we were there, HOWEVER, the only reply I got was that “the kayaks and canoe are not inspected and that Seibert has nothing to do with them” ; she also stated “ we can come and get it and bring you a new one”. Unacceptable.
The boat launch and canoe area was disgusting, overgrown and not maintained – the photo online shows pavers as a walkway, and an upright (newer) boat – you will see in the photos we did not get that upon arrival. In fact, we had to ask the neighbor to use their boat steps to enter the water
Pool area overgrown and broken chairs and concrete --- many chairs poolside were broken ; the concrete edging around the pool is cracked and the weeds were higher than my 6 year old. We did call and a maintenance man came – he took up THREE HOURS of the pool that day which left it out of use for our family- on a 90 degree afternoon
Outside bathroom was disgusting and had a door that didn’t lock – stains and unknown gross areas were left for us and this area was NOT cleaned by the cleaning team. The door was dirty , no working door knob and the décor from the website was not there upon arrival – the place is advertised that it has that half bath - but not that it doesn’t lock.
That brings us to the arrival on 8/19. Check – in is at 4pm. We arrived early at 3 pm – we got a message your cleaning crew would be late (ok) and we would have the “WHOLE TEAM” working on our place. Instead, 2 people came, stripped the beds, cleaned the interior bathrooms and left. The did not address the outside restroom, public /common areas and left cardboard boxes on the ping pong table – and we got in the house almost TWO HOURS AFTER check in time.
Cobwebs indoors is unacceptable – which just reiterates the lack of cleaning

My family stayed at Sandbridge Blu Sea Moose house on Sandfiddler Rd in Sandbridge Beach. We were disappointed in our stay for a few different reasons. However aside from knitpicking some annoying things I felt that the photos that showed what appeared to be an enclosed screen room on the oceanfront pool patio deck with nice comfortable furniture was in fact a series of openings with no screens or even a door. The dirty plastic chairs and totally open windows made it impossible to enjoy in the evening due to mosquitoes. We had to spend every night indoors watching TV instead of enjoying the sundown and evening air. Sandbridge Blu told us months earlier that it was an enclosed room and offered us nothing. Poor customer service. Never again for a very expensive vacation home

Sandbridge Beach is the Outer Banks without all the Outer Banks crowds and tourist traps. Look at a map of the Outer Banks...they don't stop at the North Carolina border, they continue up to Sandbridge. If you want the wide, sandy beaches and Atlantic Ocean views of North Carolina's Outer Banks without all the commercial fuss, this is the place!

Extremely disappointed with this company. The house was falsely advertised and very different from the pictures. When we arrived the home was very dirty, mold in the showers, a 12 x 12 hole in the ceiling exposing wiring (they stated it was a broken pipe a week earlier but why was it not covered?) a large hole in the deck flooring that my nephew stepped in, furniture damaged, carpet ripped and coming up, the interior pool room had 3-4 inches of dirt and debris in the window sills that they wouldn't close, the deck railing was rotted and not attached. The list goes on and on. When I called Siebert upon check in about multiple issues, I was told we should be grateful because many homes around us were paying more than us. They did sent someone to fix the deck hole after 3 days but only because I stated someone had fallen and they were going to have a lawsuit. We will never use this rental company again! Stay away.

We had beach access near our airbnb. Just lovely. Clean, well-patrolled, respectful sunbathers. I love a non-commercialized beach! Saw dolphins every day .

No they do not rent them at Sandbridge beach. At the Ocenfront, yes but you will have to stop at a store.

Does the beach have changing rooms and or showers? Is there a cost? Where are they located?

Don't remember seeing changing and shower facility, only the bathrooms. $5 parking fee, unless you are VA Beach resident. Bathrooms ae located near the picnic shelter, which is about 50 -75 yards from the beach.
Can you have a popup tent on the beach

Was Sandbridge Beach crowded mid to end of August? Concerned about spacing chairs out enough for social distancing.

It’s going to be impossible to predict this year. Normally, Sandbridge is much less crowded than Virginia Beach Oceanfront, so it will be a good bet that it will remain less crowded, but to be able to tell you that you can reliably space your chairs away from others’? Can’t do that.

Is there a public place to park and get on the beach un Sanbridge?
Davidgetsaround
Atlanta25 contributions
Yep, the city maintains a parking lot at the beach
Is alcohol prohibited on Sandbridge Beach? Can you surf fish from the beach? Are there ghost crabs at night? Does the beach get crowded?
Jeanie W
Chesapeake, VA2 contributions
Technically, there is no alcohol allowed on the beach; but if you are discreet, no one makes an issue of it. The public beach is very crowded during the summer; but if you enter near the private houses, it is not as crowded. Parking may be the issue for you then, unless you are in a rental house close to the water. There are ghost crabs, but they are unpredictable. You don't fish where there are a lot of people, but there is a fishing pier.

We have found the beach at Ocean City MD to drop off, i.e., you will walk out into the ocean and be knee-deep, then you take another step and you are 2 feet deeper. Is Sandbridge like this? I seem to recall Va Beach was like that, but it's been many years since I went there.
BobM48

The depth increased as you went out. It was 3 to 4 feet deep where most of the family went
Other than renting a car, what are the options of getting to Sandbridge from Norfolk international airport?

Renting a car would probably be your best bet!
Hello
How many beach access fees ?
Rick S
East Amherst, NY823 contributions
There is no fee for access to the beach but the city charges 5 dollars for parking at the south end by Little Island Park. At the north end along Sandfiddler Road there is parking at the at the deli that seems to charge what ever they like to. There is little or no parking on the neighboring streets so where there is parking is the only access that is available to the public.
