We were walking along the boardwalk and decided to spend the $2 per person to walk to the end of the pier. It was fun to see all the fishermen, as we dodged their casts into the water. We saw someone catch a decent sized...More

A fairly rickety old wooden pier. They charge $2 per person to enter. Not much extra to see or do that you can’t do elsewhere on the beach. Not worth the $2 to me. The shops at the beach end before the entrance are pretty...More

the fishing is great in the surf. You can rent poles and buy bait right there! The food at the resteraunt was mediocure , server was inexperienced and quite slow.

My goodness they charged me to walk on the pier to include my 5 year old. Insane we just wanted to look. I asked and why and they said as long as your son is bigger than the turn style he has to pay. OMG....More

This is a wooden fishing pier around 16th street. They charge a toll for fisherman and spectators. The stores at the entrance way are rather junky and it is just not worth wasting your time. If you do go - bring a fishing pole.

Many people visit the pier either just as a curiosity or to fish from the wooden structure. Some people are disturbed by the fact that you have to pay to walk to the end but this is a 'privately owned' pier not state owned. Enjoy...More

Another Virginia Beach rip off place. just to walk on the pier it cost $2.00 a person. to fish off the pier it's $6.00 a person. Much of Virginia Beach city property has an entrance fee.

Maybe it is common there but I was seriously turned off by the idea of having to pay to go out on the Pier. Maybe if I was going to fish but not to walk out there and turn right back around after taking a...More

We didn't have any money on us when we walked to the pier so couldn't get on it but still enjoyed this long, rickety looking wooden structure. There were a lot of people on the pier, most fishing but some just taking a walk. Even...More

I'm not sure about the specifics of that, but the person in the booth the day we visited was very helpful. I'm sure someone would be able to help you there.

No. When you pay to get on the pier and rent the pole and get the bait you just go fish.
