This state park has it all. Great hiking trails, views of river and marsh areas great for kayaking. Walks along the fossil beach to find wonders of marine life remains from yesteryear. Eagle & birds of prey nesting & sighting. A favorite !

Even in the winter, this park is just lovely. It is right on the water, so the wind is a little bracing in the cold. There are lots of trails and my friend who lives in Williamsburg was very familiar with many of them. The...More

There's only a parking fee that you pay before entering the park. A Ranger isn't always present at the entrance and an honor system is in place.
