Typical house tour, but the story about Patsy Cline's life and how she dealt with the communities around her is really interesting. Worth the trip just to find out about her history and how difficult it was for women of that era to "fit in."

Thank you for your insightful review. You are correct, it is a typical house tour and the story is about a remarkable woman! She definitely raised the tide for every other woman in that era and all of those that came since. She is still impactful! More

Very interesting tour, not too long and not rushed through either. Great deal to get a ticket for $10.00 to cover 3 tours in the area. Ticket good for one year. Seeing how she grew up is just amazing! So tragic she died so young.

Thank you, Ski Tech, for the resounding endorsement. We agree, that the Patsy Cline Historic House is a must see for folks living in the Winchester and northern Virginia areas. Every year we acquire a new item or little-know story to add to our tour. These gifts are given to us by people who actually knew Patsy or by their... More

I would recommend this for country fans! I love Patsy Cline and her voice is 1 in a 1,000,000. This house brought me close to her- there are many original items on this tour, making it really worth it. We were lucky, we actually ended up getting a private tour of her home because we came at a time in-between... More

The house is small with vintage props - some actually owned by Patsy Cline - that were typical of the era when she lived there. The historical interpreter made Patsy's story come to life with information about her family, growing up, and her career. The black walnut tree from Patsy's youth is still in the backyard - and there's a... More

My wife and I aren't country music fans--although I must admit I have a tremendous respect and fascination for Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison--and our visits to Winchester, Virginia, were based on its Civil War and even Revolutionary War history, including Stonewall Jackson's headquarters house once owned by relatives of television star Mary Tyler Moore. Only recently did we realize... More

Thank you for such an eloquent endorsement of the Patsy Cline Historic House. We have so many guests that come to Winchester for its Civil War history and historic sites, that find the Patsy Cline Historic House quite by accident, and always comment that they are glad that they visited us too. If you love Patsy Cline like I do, you should stop by this sweet little house and stay for a tour.
