Nice course. It would be more enjoyable with a GPS on cart or a yardage book. Despite its' mountain location, the course generally pretty flat. Several holes have elevation changes. The best part is the temperatures. While it was about 100 degrees in the valley, it was only in the high 70s to low 80s on the course.

If you like 250+ yards drives but can only hit 170 yards, this is course is one of the places to go, as long as you hit them straight.

This is a fun and challenging golf course which I have been playing for eight years. The course itself is immaculately maintained with woods on most holes. There are also a couple of ponds and creeks along the way. The greens are fairly spacious and some are sloping adding to the challenges of each hole. Some times the greens are... More

Very hard course for the older and average golfer. The woman of the trip really had a hard time with the course. Pretty course and nice people.

My hubby & I seek out mountainous golf courses, b/c we like the adventure of good mtn golf. Devils Knob was very beautiful and very well maintained, and relatively easy. It was also really busy. We both play the reg men's tees (white tees), and we are above average golfers. Most tees are elevated and most greens are also elevated.... More

Fantastic golf course carved into the blue ridge mountains. It's relatively short so if you hit a straight ball you have a chance. However, the greens have a lot of unanticipated breaks. Located at 3800 feet above sea level it's the perfect course for June, July and August. It's great in the fall too when the leaves are turning.

We played with a group of 8 and had a great afternoon. It is a narrow course and easy to lose balls, but if you enjoy being outside with beautiful views and wooded areas, this is the course for you. It is more difficult than Stoney Brooke in the valley, but DK is located on top of the mountain and... More
