*Not Infant/ Toddler friendly*

I felt really frustrated after my 1.5 year old toddler being told to be more quiet twice in the museum. This is the first time my toddler had been told to be more quiet out of our numerous visits to different museums. I definitely felt unwelcomed and this is clearly a mistake for me to bring a toddler here.

Also the staff were following us in the third floor the whole time. If you don't want to being watched, don't come. This is ridiculous.

Apparently several Yelpers with kids mentioned the same thing, I should have read reviews before I go!

We stopped in the gift shop while wandering around Bellevue. The woman working there was very rude. We were shopping and I snapped a picture of an item for sale. And she came at us, you cannot take pictures of anything!!!!

I am from Chicago. All museums allow you to take pictures. Not only in the gift shop. But also the actual museum.

This museum is a pimple on the butt of an art critique. And Chicago museum's are world class. Go figure.

I love the BAM. It has such a varied and interesting set of shows. It is a small museum, with a very selective set of things. It is a showcase for contemporary high-end craft: glass, metal, paper, textiles, etc. It also houses a dandy gift shop and is well located across from several shopping malls and lots of restaurants, so a fun place to put in any visit to Bellevue

This museum was small and intimate. We saw four excellent exhibits and a wonderful grouping of young artists' works. It took approx. an hour+ to view the entire museum and worth the entrance fee. I would visit again.

A small, but enjoyable, arts museum. When we visited, an annual arts festival was in progress, and admission was free. There were creative children's activities on the first floor and most exhibits were on the 2nd and 3rd floors, which are accessible by ramp or elevator. Good exhibits, but limited by space. All-in-all, it was a relief to rest our eyes on art in a quiet, air-conditioned environment.

As I am a nerd, this was a plus for my visit as it was only blocks away from my hotel. I especially wanted to see the Ebony fashion display, but the rest of BAM was excellent

Convenience of a local downtown museum with rotating exhibits that are unique and accessible. The interior spaces and staff are well prepared for the visitor.

If there is a bigger misuse of money and land, I can't think of it. There is seldom much of anything resembling art in the museum. Last month one exhibit was a group of porcelain cats (not a complete loss worth 3-5 minutes of your time). The other "exhibit" was some trash that had been formed into a bundle. That was pretty much it. On the first Friday on the month, at least they don't have the gall to charge admission.

I never see anybody going in there. Like most everything in Bellevue, it has a nice facade, with no substance inside.

This is a smaller museum by comparison to most Art Museum, but delightful and intimate. The hours mirror the shopping district, and parking is tied to the shopping center for your convenience.
