Great family park. 8 slides in total. We went on a 73ish degree day and the lines were not long at all. Max time in a line was maybe 5 minutes. Great little kiddie pool with 3 small slides. If you are looking for a lot more water slides and more activities like a lazy River and wave pool I would recommend going somewhere else however this was a great day.

We took the kids to have some fun but I was pretty upset to see some of the life guards not making poeple follow the rules. Kids were going down the slides head first, sitting on knees and standing while going down the slides. There were several life guards who were on their cell phones most of their shifts. I'd suggest you don't count on them to watch your kids or save them if they get into trouble.

This can be a great place, but last Monday, July 2nd my grandson and son in law went to the water slides at noon, waited for them to open, paid their $17.95 each, and were told that the slides were closing at 2:30 because not enough customers. (Usual closing time according to their website is 6:00pm, oh and they were supposed to open at 10:00). they were not offered any kind of 1/2 price ticket for another day...expensive lesson learned. don't go unless you know that they have met their admission quota. Also, good luck trying to contact via thier website, you have to enter a password exactly like theirs only you can't because your computer doesn't have the correct fonts and their program doesn't provide it, so your password is never correct. Will we go back? Not this summer.

The Birch Bay Water Slides are under new ownership, and the entire facility is being spruced up in time to open for the Memorial Day weekend. In June they will be open weekends only, then every day from June 22 to September 2, 2013.

This is a great place to spend a few hours or all day. To help offset the slight increase in admission this year, you will be allowed to bring your own picnic inside - but for safety reasons no coolers, no glass ware, and of course no alcohol.

The Birch Bay Water Slides have changing rooms, showers and lockers, picnic tables, concessions and a restaurant. They use heated water on all the slides, and they have a huge hot tub, so you can go even on an overcast day.

We had a great time and decided we will make it a yearly event. I took my son and four grandkids. There were plenty of places for me to sit (sun or shade). The lines for snacks were short. Plenty of picnic tables around. A giant hot tub made my day and lots of kids smiles. Everyone loved it. I also loved the fact that the park is not too spread out. The walking is limited and you don't have any steep slopes except for the steps to go on a slide.

I've loved Birch Bay since I was kid- been going here for at least 25 years. This time my husband and I brought along our friends son who had never been and although he had fun the state of the park was embarrassing! The water that the slides let into was so dirty looking and had lots of bird feathers floating around. The paint layers on the slides are peeling off really bad. We were the first ones into the park and when I went into the bathroom all of the stalls were filthy, the garbage was full of trash and dirty diapers and only 1 soap dispenser had soap. Being the first to arrive should have meant clean bathrooms becuase they should have been cleaned the night before. It might be time to hire responsible adults instead of just a bunch of teenagers who don't like to clean. While birch bay brings back good memories it's time to give the place some love and care so that it can be here for generations to come.

Though not huge, nor fancy...this water park had enough various slides to entertain all ages. The staff were helpful, the area clean. We felt we got good value for the entry feel

My 9-yr-old son and I visited 4 waterparks in 4 days - this was his second favorite and my third favorite. The slides are older and have lost their slippery coating, so they have you sit on tubes which really makes you go fast, especially if you are a heavier person. We witnessed several people who came off their tubes halfway down, which doesn't seem particularly reassuring. The stairs going up to the tallest slides in the main part of the park are wooden, so can get a little slippery. The intermediate slides for littler kids don't go fast at all (some were scooting their way to the bottom) and the toddler area seemed to be a hit with that crowd. One nice thing about this park is that there is a regular swimming pool - most parks don't have anywhere to simply swim around. One weird thing is that there is a pizza place at the park, but you have to walk outside the park and around the building, order your pizza and wait quite a long time in your swim suit for the pizza to be done, then carry it back into the park. They don't let you bring your own food in but you can bring this pizza in. Changing rooms were not very nice. Plenty of free parking.

Friends had purchased a few Groupon vouchers and insisted that we accompany them to enjoy the day at Birch Bay while their youngsters enjoyed the water slides for the day. With the exception of the line-up at the Canadian/USA border it was a very enjoyable. I believe that there are 4 water slides in the park, gosh I wish there was something like this when I was knee high to a grasshopper. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

My granddaughter and I enjoyed 2 hours at this water park in mid-August on a hot day. I'm older and my feet hurt all the time so I wasn't keen on all the walking, stair climbing, etc., to get to the tops of the slides, but I enjoyed the River Ride twice -- once solo, once with my grandchild in the double tube. You go down pretty fast and hit two pools with big splashes (water up nose), but it's fun. The kid took that ride many, many times, as well as the fast but short Ramp Slide and the Twister. I took the Snake, which is gentler than the other 3 slides from that platform. The staff is helpful, attentive and seems to be well trained. There's a plain pool, a kiddie pool and slide, a hot tub and one really big scary slide that is for older kids and adults only. We didn't try that. There are lockers ($5 with a $2 refund when you return the key), showers, dressing rooms, rest rooms, snack bars and gift shop in case you want to spend money. Parking is free. There are chairs, lounges and tables for those who just want to watch. I found 2 hours just about right but most kids would want more time.
