Great museum with displays for adults and kids. Everything related to US Navy history. I was impressed by the modern displays, audio/video displays and the large section about modern day life aboard the USS John C Stennis. And the entry price of free is amazing....More

The old museum was wonderful...ship models, old artifacts, posters, books and lots of minutiae of naval life. The current museum is small and sterile. A better bet is the USS Turner Joy or the Keyport Undersea Warfare Museum.

Check out some history here. The museum is small but admission is free. It's a short walk from the ferry terminal . Combined with lunch and the fountain park it can be an inexpensibe outting.

An interesting display of various activities in the Shipyard. A bit of a walk for parking, but you go past the fountains and the Bremerton Gate. A pleasant way to spend a few hours, and maybe learn about West Sounds largest employer.

My husband was thrilled to find information about "his" ship: the USS Sacramento, now scraped. There is a gift shop with military items available for sale.
