This museum is totally awesome. There's memorabilia as far back as WW1. The artifacts and pictures are donated by family members/friends of those who have served. Some of the pictures of what our servicemen endured brought tears to my eyes. It'a a must see if only to help us to understand how tragic war can be and get a better... More

My family visited here last week on our way to Portland from Seattle. It was a nice place to stop and rest. It wasn't crowded and the displays do a great job telling the story of all the men and women who sacrificed so much for us. Each display tells the story of a veteran. Not every veteran died, but... This is a great place to go and read about the veterans from the area, as well as others that served in the military. There is a tree of life there with dog tags and also a case of medals and coins. Great job!

This museum is so nicely put together. It has many priceless artifacts. It really brings together history into a real life perspective. Admission is so cheap and definitely worth the price. Please go here, I promise you will leave changed.

My father, handicapped brother, and I visited this museum on a Sunday afternoon. The attendants were great. They have a huge display of historic uniforms and lots of firearms. One of the volunteer Veterans walked around with us and shared lots of interesting information and answered all of our questions. Outside there was vehicles and plains to see. We easily... More

Had several different age children from toddler to preteen. We all enjoyed learning about the wars. Really wish they offered more local history.

Our local veterans do an outstanding job of presenting the veteran story. Well maintained, clean and easy to understand displays. We are very proud of our local vets and the museum they offer to the public. They also provide a very nice conference room for public use at a very reasonable cost. Must visit.

We stopped in here on our way to Salem, as we had found the flyer in the "tourist rack" at our hotel in Tumwater. We arrived right at opening, so there were no other visitors, but the museum was alive with local veterans sharing coffee and stories. We were offered coffee and donuts, and were very welcome to join the... More
