The monument is a neat sight to see, but the breathtaking views of the Columbia River are what makes this stop especially worthwhile. Official stop off the highway is only when heading eastbound.

I prefer the stop on the Westbound side of the highway, where you can look out over the Columbia river. It's worth a stop when you're driving by.

I have stopped here several times because it's a great place to get out, walk around, get some air and take in the view. Great place for photos because the weather and light seem to enhance the Monument. Stop every time if you can.

We had not planned to stop but then we spotted the horses on the ledge and turned off. The walk up is steep so shoes with traction are a must. We spent a good portion of time trying to stay upright in flip flops. The view is so so worth it and the horses are beautiful!!!

A great place to stop when east bound on I90. There is no direct west bound access, however there is a nice viewpoint for this travelers as well. We enjoy the commanding views of the river and surrounding countryside just as much as the wild horse monument itself. Situated above the Vantage bridge the monument consists of metal cut out... Highly recommend stopping to take in the scenic view of the river and mountains but the Wild Horses Monument was a great addition. Our boys took off up the trail and of course we followed... It was well worth the hike up even in jeans, a dress shirt and fancy flip flops (highly not recommended).

We stumbled across this when looking for a location to stretch out legs. And what a place!! There are fanatic views of the entire area and the Columbia River. There a are a couple of information boards explaining the history of the area including the fact that the area is completely made up of volcanic rock. This place is well... More

The statutes are at the top of a fairly steep hill but are accessible. This was a nice stop on a long journey - good photo opportunity.

President of summer my son and I walked up to these monuments. They are huge! It's a little sketchy getting up there and getting down but if you are in normal shape or healthy shape you'll do just fine. Pretty fun adventure to say the least it's about half a mile up and half a mile down.
