I've seen the pictures so I know it's beautiful but unfortunately the fog can be unpredictable and kept the awesome views hidden all day. It's a nice little challenging walk to get to the lighthouse but certainly worth the effort.

Worth the short walk through forest. Overlook pretty inlet with log strewn beach. Good views of river mouth and south along coast. Look out for whales offshore. Lots of birds flying around - plenty living on the cliffs.

This entire park is worth taking the time to walk or bike the trails. Plan on spending at least two days in the park. I loved walking the beach, even on a cool day

I myself got a bit winded hiking to the lighthouse, however it was beautiful and well worth the hike. There's an amazing view from the lighthouse and beautiful on the way up.

With the suggestion from the park ranger, we drove to Waikiki Beach to admire the lighthouse. It looked beautiful but it was kind of far away from where we were. The caves near the beach was interesting and the whole place was beautiful. Just wished that we were able to get closer to the lighthouse.

Is that the .6 miles is uphill both ways. Literally. It is a very narrow gravel/dirt path for .4 til you reach the coastguard station. The straight uphill for .2 mile to the lighthouse. It's not the best view nor the best house. You would be much better walking the .25 to the interpretive center and taking a photo there.

If the lighthouse had been open I would have rated it higher. The view was great but the walk up really brings it down. Wife and I went up the final uphill path, it was extrememly vertical and taxing for a man with a bad knee. There was no where to sit and take a breath on the way up... More

At the interpretive center in the park we enjoyed the view of the lighthouse & decided to walk over to see it up close. The sign said it was .6 of a mile away. We walked & walked into the trees, some of the trail was a bit steep &, because of the rain, muddy & slippery. The people ahead... More

The hike up is a bit harder than the other lighthouse but still great. We hiked in the poring rain which added to the fun. Lots of forest along the way. I wouldn't say it's a difficult hike at all. Only a slight incline.

This lighthouse sits high on a hill above the beach. It has access through a campground area and is absolutely beautiful! Despite it's name, the hike here does not leave you disappointed!
