We stopped here after visiting the falls. It’s quaint, the staff is very helpful and the treats are tasty!

Read about their ice cream bars, so we came here for dessert after having lunch. The ice cream bar was delicious. It was a large chocolate covered vanilla ice cream bar with lots of nuts. The nuts weren't stuck to the chocolate, so nuts went everywhere when you took a bite. We went outside and there was a little park? to the side of the building and we ate our bars there. Would recommend if you ice cream, chocolate and nuts!

We exited I-90 and stumbled into Boehms Candies. What a pleasant surprise!! From the moment we saw the delightful, historic building we knew we were in for a treat.
Alongside the building are sculptures of St. Bernards. It is worth taking the time to read about them and the significance to the owner and Boehms Candies.
We were impressed with the tenacity of the owner/founder of Boehms Candies and the challenges he went through in his life. He accomplished a lot, and it was inspiring to read about what he did.
The candies are delicious. We were appreciative of the free samples that were given to us. It definitely helped us make good choices about what to purchase.
A special treat was the "broken box" where you can buy the candy at half off. I wish I would have purchased more than my $5 limit that I gave myself. The $5 purchased such a wonderful variety of candies - including some of my favorite: chocolate covered caramel with sea salt on top.
There are frozen treats available as well. My sister purchased a frozen banana dipped in chocolate and mixed nuts. It reminded us of the chocolate dipped bananas we made when we were young.
We enjoyed walking on the landscaped grounds and sitting in the gazebo. While we were relaxing, a yellow butterfly flew around in the distance for us to watch.
As we left, the black-capped chickadees were singing in the pine trees.
It was a beautiful place to spend time at on our trip.

I swung by Bohem's Candies & Chocolates while I was on a business trip in Washington. It was worth the stop. They have a very nice selection. I left with toffee, chocolate bars, cream filled eggs and rocky road candy. I highly recommend their regular milk chocolate bar.

Boehms Candies have been a favorite candy store for locals and others traveling across the state. As a child, whenever my folks drove us from Spokane to Seattle we always counted on a treat once we made it through the pass and got into Issaquah (of course that was before I-90 took Boehms off the primary road through the mountains). If we were good (seldom) we would get an extra piece of this Chocolate from Heaven.
Now that I live in Issaquah I make the trip much more often. It is fairly hard to find the top quality Swiss-style chocolates one can find here. But as a regular I found that in the back of the showroom, on a small table behind the counter, Boehms has a 4-bin box of booboos (chocolates that were either slightly off design or simply extras from the boxed sets) that taste just as good as the high priced versions, but at half price (or so). Usually they have 2-3 of the bins filled with a single type of chocolate and the fourth filled with a mix of all sorts of goodies. I always ask for the mix since its much more fun exploring new kinds of chocolates I might never have thought of buying.
Enjoy this special sale, but don't tell everyone - hopefully they won't sell out before I get in. Enjoy!

A standard stopping place for my family for over 50 years. A friendly staff. Easy access from the freeway. Ample parking. Charming building. AND, best of all, yummy chocolate with a wide range of selection.

Tired of trying to find "the perfect something" for someone or yourself? Indulge yourself in the world of great chocolate. This shop is a gem just off I-80. The factory window tour is a real bonus. Anyone want an 84 pound solid chocolate Easter Bunny?

Reserve weeks in advance for a weird, guided tour. $5 cost per person. Lasted a little less than an hour. Maybe sampled 3 chocolates total, more would be nice. Nice to see an expert handrolling chocolates and truffles. Corny jokes. Store is in a chalet, as are other buildings onsite, like the chapel. Eclectic art on walls of Joseph Boehms residence, feels like you've gone back in time to experience what he did, but also wonder why you're seeing all this weird art and listening to vintage tunes on a music box. Chapel also eclectic with large rocks inside and an unfinished project of recreating the ten commandments in stone, plus weird replicas of Italian art like Michelangelo's Creation of Adam. Just get the ice cream bar and some chocolates.

The chocolate dipped ice cream bars are made right in front of you. The ice cream is high quality & the chocolate is dark and thick (not bitter) and wrapped in nuts. It's like ice cream wrapped in a delicious candy bar. The other chocolate treats are delicious. The grounds are quaint, with a chapel, as well. This is a must stop!
