This is a great park for a walk, lots of nature to take in. Fun to explore the neighborhoods behind the park as well and look at the eclectic mix of houses. Make sure you walk out the bridges for views of bald eagles, herons and tons of great birds.

Love this park! There is almost always a cool breeze off the water, and benches to sit and "people watch". Four times around the park is one mile, and there are always walkers.

Like the setting. Avoid it on sunny weekends as it gets very crowded. I walk there year round . They close the toilets in the winter.

It is easy to get in a 2 mile stroll and the boardwalks over the marshlands make for safe platforms for viewing the local birds, turtles, waterlilies, cattails, etc. The parking lot is kind of small, but I am always amazed that it is often sparsely... If you go in the morning, you are sure to see many red-winged black birds, green heron, and osprey. There are lots of trails, but my favorite is through the wetlands.

We have used this facility for years. It is great local wild life viewing during the winter migrating ducks and swans are visible, spring brings sunbathing turtles and more ducks. Summer brings water lilies and frogs, Autumn brings many bird species. Of course there are the bald eagles that rear young each year. Lots of plant life. Our 12 year... More
