When I walked into this museum I had no idea it was such a major collection of nut crackers from ancient Egypt to the modern rendition. Mrs. Wagner the owner, collector and curator of this magnificent museum greeted us as we arrived. For a small $5 fee we were enlightened by a short video of the museum and some history... More

You'll love it!!! For a small fee you can enjoy so much history and cute art. There are the regular nutcrackers, all sizes, Christmas, theme, new and old. You'll also see at least a thousand different nutcrackers that you wouldn't even believe they existed!!!

The store has doll collections, small toys, Christmas decorations, and some other things. Thought it would be nice for the kids, but the young male shop keeper yelled to the kids "Do not touch please" after a few minutes we were in the store. When we prepared to leave, the same shop keeper asked us to pay for a toy... More

The Nutcracker Museum, located on the second level, has a small section in the front area that offers a few nutcrackers for sale that help support the museum which is a non profit organization. The shop that offers small toys, Christmas Decorations, etc is located on the main level and is not affiliated with the museum at all. We hope... More

Who knew there were so many types of nutcrackers! The Hillary Clinton nutcracker cracked me up. They had tools for nut cracking going back thousands of years and from all over the globe. Get your photo taken with Carl and The Mouse King!

My family used to live in Germany, and we love nutcrackers. This museum has much more variety than we expected, and many more types of nutcrackers than we've ever seen in Germany. The movie was a great overview, and the collection is really incredible. So fun to see American film stars in nutcracker form! If you enjoy nutcrackers, this is... More

we were looking for a plain functional nutcracker, did not find much selection, but the funky authentic wooden version, cuckoo clocks and all things Bavarian and generally winter wonderlandish abound. Sweet place and lots of ideas for gifts and souvenirs....

We just dropped by this place to get a feel of the shops in Leavenworth. We thought it's going to be a great museum, though that expectation is a bit high. We should have known it's going to be a little place with just enough interesting items for a few minutes to peruse. It's still a touch of something different... More

My wife really loves Nutcrackers and we both enjoyed this museum. Be sure to watch the film beforehand which gives you a good overview of the history.

My son is a novice collector (he has 7 of them), so this was a must see for our family. We had no idea about the history of nutcrackers. We found this little museum to packed full of information (from the short video, to the hundreds of nutcrackers on display. Some of which were centuries old). Made me excited enough... More
