We have been a few times and can always count on a few things; One, YES there is always a wind. That is why there is a kite museum there. Two, the beach is great for long walks with your two and four legged friends. Three, there are so many rental options that if your not happy with one place,... More

We come to LB every year for the kite festival. The environment is laid back, unlike many beach towns where the locals hate every single tourist. The beach is awesome, Marsh's is great and I never felt out of place or treated like an intruder, and all the little towns up the peninsula are fun to visit.

Lots of museums, festivals, eateries, and scenery. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves and were surprised that nothing was really closed since we expected a touristy type of town. We jam packed our week with tons of things to do as suggested by the lovely ladies at the visitor center. We were heading to long beach... More

We own a beach house in this town and it has always reminded us of Cape Cod in the 20's. With quaint beach cottages and a smattering of more modern upscale beach houses and condos, there's something for everyone. The town website is funbeach.com and there is plenty to do, from Go-Karts to T shirt shopping, from scooters and horses... More

We enjoyed the town when it was quieter in off-season. Good eating, great beach access with biking trails and horse back riding. There is vehicle access for the beach as well. Feels like a family friendly place to spend a few days in the summer. Easy to get to and Astoria is only a few miles away for a quick... More

Long Beach, Wa. A different kind of resort town. It has been there well over 100 years. In parts of town that fact shows. I think the town ought to pass an ordinance that requires homes and buildings to be kept painted. That part of the town's image I personally find to be depressing. Other than that it is a... More

The town is full of tourist type shops and a museum. Lots of cute places to get souveniers and great places to eat. Several locations for beach access and you can drive on the beach too. Wide beach, takes a stroll to reach the water from the dunes.

I had visited the Long Beach Peninsula many times over the years, enjoying the quiet, relatively uncrowded beaches and small town life. When the opportunity came up for me to move to a new home last fall, Long Beach was my choice and I have never regretted it. If you're looking for glamor, night life, or lots of shopping choices,...
