Fun wine tasting

Lighthearted wine tasting with great service and an interesting back story. And...good rose and syrah!

Of all the wineries in the Chelan / Manson area, Hard Row to Hoe is my favorite. The tap room is small and cozy; the story of the wineries inception is hilarious; the wine is complex and delicious. Any tour of the lake is not complete without a visit to this winemaking gem.

As you spend an hour or so with Rudy you will be immersed in the ambience of his passion for his wines. He will educate you even if you think you are well versed in wine. His style is contagious. What a lovely way to spend part of an afternoon.

The story of the winery is great! The location is cute. The service is average. The wine ~ nothing to write home about. The tasting fee of 10.00 sucks. This place is located on the Manson side of Chelan. They will tell you a story of how they came up with the name and you can be sure that there... More

Hard Row to Hoe is a fun winery. They've got a nice setting up on the hill above Manson. The grounds are surrounded by both vines and apple orchards. The decor aligns with their theme (I won't spoil the surprise, but you'll know when you see it). The wines are good. The tasting fee is waived with a purchase. The... More

This is one of our favorites. Danielle is such an excellent attraction here. John's ok. But the desert wine is so outstanding you must by a bottle if you like a sweet after dinner sip. really good. We have taken friends here and they love it.

While visiting Leavenworth, we stopped in the tasting room. At first the tasting fee seemed high, but my wife and I split the tasting and enjoyed their wine. We bought a bottle. The employee seemed very knowledgable. Great experience!

This is the first time we have visited " Hard Row to Hoe" and the wine was perfect. So is the decor. Danielle told the story of the vineyards and did such a great job of it. We loved the wine and bought many bottles. We definetely will make this winery our first visit when we return to Chelan!

We have visited this winery 2 times in the last few months while visiting our time share in Wapato! All their wines are great - Danielle tells a great story of how Hard Row to Hoe got started all while we sipped delicious wines! Their mulled wine is great too!
