Little Mountain Park gives one of the best views of the area that I know of! You can drive to the top and check out the outlook area where you can see the city, sea and mountains! There is another outlook before the main one that has a bridge that shows you all of mount vernon and burlington. This is... More

On October 30, 2016, we hiked the south end of the park with no problem except for poor signage. We did have a map so did not get lost. Upon taking the short trail from the parking area to the north viewpoint near the large bench, I was walking carefully down an incline but still slipped and ended up with... More

There are nice hiking and mountain bike trails in this park. There are is a trail map located in the parking areas. The difficulty of the trails is listed on the map board. Don't take the steep difficult trails unless you are in shape. The views from the observation areas were great.

Two view locations at the top of Little Mountain within the city of Mount Vernon. The lookout tower at the top is a great place to see the local Skagit Flats and mountains from a moderate elevation. Views from the top are to the West and South of the farm land and Skagit River. From the observation platform at a... More

You can drive up to the top of the viewpoint or park your car at different trailhead and hike up the mountain. This is one of the great place to view the skagit valley. Trail sign is pretty clear, some parts of trails are pretty steep (Ginny trail .. I guess that's the name). But very rewarding once you arrive... More

Best place to bring visitors to introduce them to the Skagit Valley. There are amazing views in many directions, and lots of trails to explore. Easy parking.
