Beautiful park w 38 miles of trails ranging from relatively easy to straight up burly as you travel up, down, and around 2400' peaks and below... many beautiful lakes... Waterfalls, birds, small black-tailed deal abound. Get your discovery pass and go!

We stayed several days on Orcas and took day hikes at Moran State Park each day. The Cascade Lake Loop is quite level, with different views of the lakes. Lots of waterfowl. The Mountain Lake hike was about 5 miles round-trip. There was a thin layer of ice, which was quite pretty.

I come here a lot, it's amazing!! There are many gorgeous lakes to explore, with some of the main ones being Cascade and Mountain, and some less-heard-of and still as beautiful being Twin lakes, Summit lake and Secret lake. The trails are always clean, the beach and swim area are safe and nice and the staff are amazing and super... More

We were in a rental house about a 10 minute walk from Moran State Park between Christmas and New Year and took full advantage of our proximity to the park. There is a trail around Cascade Lake as well as on either side of the lagoon at the west end of the lake. This looks like a park which is... More

Hiking history? This place has both. Great hiking trails. Waterfall trail and the mount Constitution trail are our favorites. Check out the interpretive signs at the observatory!!! Relish in the amazing views. Been up to the observatory four times. Blizzard, snow, poring down rain, sunny day. . . Always a great outing!!!

A beautiful park filled with plenty of activities to keep one busy for several day. Lakes, hikes and mountains. All there for a very small fee.

Visited starting on New Year's Day, which was a Sunday. Be aware if you visit Orcas at this time of year, many restaurants will be closed except on weekends, and most outdoor atrtractions will not be available either (no whales, boat tours, kayaks or biplane tours at this time of year.) I thought, "Fine. I will drive up this amazing... More

My family with several other families were camping in Moran State Park while my husband and I stayed nearby in a great B&B enjoying the communal daytime and campfire activities before going off to our comfortable bed. This large, uncrowded park has the most amazing tall trees, sparkling lakes for swimming, canoeing and fishing, trails with different levels of difficulty,... More

Constitution park was closed however the lake (first stop) was open on Christmas Day. we easily found parking and a trail that leads you around the entire lake. we walked about a quarter of the way which already provided us with plenty of excellent views of the lake and the surrounding naturely landscape. Very beautiful 2 1/2 hour visit, we... More

Beautiful 4 mile loop around the lake. Easy for kids to hike...9, 7 & 4 year olds made it no problem. The 2 year old got half way. Green everywhere you look. Ferns, moss, mushrooms & lichen all over. Very tranquil and good for families, couples and trail runs. Some MTB with permit.
