Take the kids for fun and play...

The children's museum did such an amazing job taking the fun out doors and making it available to all. Take the kids to play on those hot summer days.

A nice area to walk around and enjoy views of the harbor and boats. Near the farmer's market and several restaurants within easy walking distance.

This is a really cool man-made stream for wading that is right in front of the Hands On Children's Museum. We have been several times this spring & summer & we always stay for a couple of hours & leave very happy. I like to bring a blanket to sit on -- even though there are many seats with umbrellas... Low key site that might have your young kids squealing with delight! It is a natural environment enhanced by artwork. For example, there is a stream bed perfect for wading. The bed is embedded with water-life sculptures such as fish. There are many different small plantings in the landscape so youngsters can draw or name the various plants. AND public... More

Water, rocks, boulders, bridge, salmon, shells, friends, birds bathing, reptiles, babbling brook, benches and a bathroom! Also, the plaza is in close proxemics to other wonderful places! Perhaps combine the plaza with another stop. The East Bay Public plaza is close enough to enough to walk to: the Hands on Children's Museum, a near by, path that goes around the... More

A pretty plaza right downtown along the water. A great place to walk with kids, right near the Children's museum.

Such a fun area for young children! Baby to 5/6 yrs. shallow little concrete stream that is fun for littles to wade, sit and splash in. No food is allowed near for obvious health reasons but a close walk down the street you can sit in the grass along the water or at the farmers market. Go early because it... More

This is a very lovely setting around the Children's Hands On Museum. During the summer, water runs through a little stream where children can wade and it is created wonderfully well with images of fish and other sea creatures. Lots of nice places to just sit and enjoy also.

The city has done a very nice job with this park. A interactive stream runs thru, with faux fish running up stream. Seating and restrooms on site. Really nice small area.

Beautifully designed - it has art, architecture, stream to wade in on warm days, nearby parking, inviting benches to sit and people watch or enjoy your lunch... so much more all in one convenient location.

Thank Jane S
