Very informative and well laid out, it showed the history of the area and town. The person working there was quite knowledgeable and easy to talk with.

I was very impressed with this little museum in Oroville. My mom's side of the family has a long history in Oroville. I was so excited to find a large collection on albums in the museum with a lot of Oroville history. I was able to locate a number of photos, news clippings and other information about my family of origin. I could have spent hours here.

The museum is free and great to visit.

A small, locally run museum and tourist information location. Contains lots of area history and artifacts and the volunteer staff will happy share their stories of life and growing up in the surrounding communities. Fascinating and worth spending some time to listen and learn.

Oroville is a town that was. Quaint and charming, but sadly, diminishing. This is not to slight the town in the least - America's small towns are its backbone. The museum, while small, holds a good variety of historic artifacts from the area, ranging from clothing and household goods, to outdoor implements, to taxidermied animals. And of course, being in the depot, don't forget the train displays. This was a perfect place for us to stretch our legs and enjoy some history before hitting the road again on our long road trip.

I grew up with the Great Northern RR and wanted to visit one of the last real depots. My father actually worked in this depot in Oroville so this was an emotional visit for me. Seeing the agent desk and some of the equipment brought back a lot of memories. History of the depot as well as the town in general was available to all to review.

Friendly staff, exhibits that change, this is one of the best museums I have found in a small town. Clean, informative, you will not be disappointed at the amount of history in Oroville.
