Pretty much on the way to Seattle from SEATAC, so if you are debating - just go. Be sure to follow up with a trip to the EMP to see the Hendrix memorial. Got chills checking out this memorial & talking to Jimi Hendrix. It was a great way to kick off our trip to Seattle.

Nice place to visit but no parking close. Long walk from parking lot. Can park next to memorial but it will block others in cemetery. Two block south on Monroe from 4th Ave in Renton Highlands part of Greenwood cemetery grounds. Worth a visit if you are a Hendrix fan.

Right next door to where I was attending a class I found the Jimi Hendrix gravesite memorial. I was nice to have the opportunity to "talk" to the memory of a man who broke with society to explore and advance music. His was a life that broke moulds and inspired aspirations of changing the status quo.

The Jimi Hendrix memorial is located in Renton in lovely, peaceful Greenwood Cemetery at 4th and Monroe. The tomb includes plots with Hendrix relatives. In the center of the main tomb is a new sculpture of Hendrix's guitar, added in October 2016. You can drive your car right to the gravesite and spend time reading the engraved information and seeing... More

Great place to take tourists. There's always alot of people at the grave site. Go to the Seattle Asian Art Museum afterwards.

First, I was wowed by the three panels that support the cover. The imagery / artwork is well done. There are iconic images of him playing guitar, some of his writing, all in the marble sides. Each part commemorates him beautifully. On the sides with his image, there were lipstick prints if many fans, kissing his face... And I felt... More

Everytime I come here it's a little different. I've been here in the rain and on a beautiful sunny day. Usually no one else around. It's really a beautiful spot and quite a tribute to one of America's greats. Not far from downtown Seattle.

It is a nice memorial to Jimi. He used to be out about 50 feet from where my cousin was laid to rest after being killed in Vietnam. Well worth a visit and some photos for anyone who is a fan of Jimi Hendrix.

An amazing tribute to an amazing and incredibly talented man. He made music...the somewhat newer monument is very beautifully done. It may seem as though you can hear the music.. Plan to pick up some Ezells chicken and spend some time with an old friend.
