We were meeting friends staying at the airport. Angle Lake Park was the perfect spot. We grabbed fast food and went there for a picnic. It wasn't too busy when we arrived but we could have sold our parking spot upon leaving.
Lovely little lake with kids swimming. There was also a kids fountain on the hill.
Numerous shelters for groups or to get out of the sun.
The bathrooms were a bit dirty (it was weekend).
Saw very few animals/pets, so that was nice.
The airplanes flying overhead were noisy at first but we got used to it.

I grew up about two blocks north of this lovely park. I don't think many people visiting the area have any idea of what a "jumpin' place" this used to be. During the 50's and probably before then, it was a private resort - open to the public called the Angle Lake Plunge. I spent nearly every of my formative summer years at The Plunge and typically used the trail through the woods to the park's north side to sneak in and avoid the 10 cent admission fee.
the Plunge, like many private lakeside amusement parks had diving platforms (one up to 20-feet high) along with a couple of lower springboards. Best of all though were the trapeze and the water slide. Great fun and the sort of thing that most parents would be alarmed to see their youngsters out on those "dangerous" attractions. In fact, there was a long-standing "legend" among us kids that at one time someone planted razor blades along the slide's edges and managed to slice some unsuspecting swimmer to a faretheewell. Of course, no one could recall - if they ever knew - the victim's name. IMO this may have been the beginning of one of those now-popular urban legends.
My favorite place at The Plunge was the dance hall. I wasn't old enough to get in to see the local popular bands that played there during the weekends, but they had a nicely stocked juke box alongside the dance floor and I spent many the nickel practicing my Elvis-like dance moves to the popular R&R songs of the day during summer afternoons.
It was a wonderful place to spend summers and so close to my home on 32nd street (via the trail through the woods) it was hard to imagine any place could be cooler.
I can't recall just when the county bought the property and turned it into a park. Probably in the late 50's or early 60's. I do remember was "Kewpie" Dick Barrett, a former pitcher for the Seattle Rainiers baseball team. He was a very nice man.
Over time, the slides, the trapeze and the towers went away, along with the dance hall. It is a much more beautiful place today, as other reviewers have mentioned. I nice place to spend a few hours between flights from Sea-Tac, but I hope those who plan to visit the park might try to put themselves into my young shoes and imagine what it was like to grow up there.
It was cooler than even Darrel Starbird's "Moonbeam" bubble top show car (American Graffiti)

Lots of kids were enjoying the fun water pad with all the usual things as well as a couple of big buckets that filled up really slowly and you got to watch and see when they were going to dump tons of green space lake access and lovely picnic area

We visited that lake before we went to the airport. A beautiful park with a fun water playground for the children. The lakefront itself is very small, but large enough for water play. Lots of geese and ducks in the park. We were there on a Saturday evening there was lots of trash (not enough trashcans), and lots of loud playing of music you could hear everywhere.

The time I went here it was kind of filthy with trash and goose poop. Most of the lake is surrounded by houses and unaccessible. It's kind of the ghetto Park in the area but, it does have water. However, I wouldn't recommend swimming in it

The park itself looked like it could be beautiful and peaceful, but during my visit (as I've seen in other reviews) they had a lot of riff raff types of people there. During COVID and no social distancing, no masks, a lot of weed smells.
We were staying at the hotel across the street so it wasn't taxing to walk back, but I may have enjoyed and stays longer otherwise.

Not a whole lot of access to the lake and it's semi-private anyway. It is surrounded by houses with people who are absolutely sick of all the Riff Raff it shows up to party in the Summers. Half the time I hear it's got swimmer's itch as well. Get in the car and head out a few hours to a decent Lake

Lake is beautiful and the short walk was definitely worth doing.
Great place to have a picnic, clean and tidy with wash room facilities. Kids will love the small beach, and there were plenty of people enjoying a swim.

Stayed at the nearby Country Inn & Suites Oct. 19-21 and went to the park a few times with a friend who lives in Seattle. Was a very relaxing atmosphere but both times that I went, I couldn't notice suspicious people hanging out by their cars (drug activity??).
Was approached by an individual I would not trust.
Enjoy the beautiful surroundings but be careful!

My husband and I had a one night stay at hotel close to the airport, prior to departing on a cruise. We were looking for a place to walk and found this park across from the hotel. It was simply LOVELY!! Some of the trail borders a beautiful small lake. There are pavilions, picnic areas, fishing docks and a boat ramp. It was a fun and relaxing place to take a nice long walk. Definitely worth visiting!!

There is a boat launch but no designated parking for a vehicle with trailer.
Is there an overflow parking area somewhere off site or another place to park for folks who wish to launch a boat?

The City of SeaTac has allowed it during a city-sponsored event so most likely yes. I would contact the City of SeaTac Parks & Rec manager to confirm
