What a treat to sit in an intimate, family-sized viewing room watching first rate international films available 365 days of the year, multiple offerings from which to select with several different viewing times. Well worth the drive from Olympia.

Though appearing to be a storefront from the street, this is a well-equipped, multi-screen cinema. Repertoire is art and indie films, as well as first run larger productions. Staff was very helpful, and free off-street parking is available (street parking in the area is limited to 90 minutes). Digital projection and sound quality were excellent. Well-stocked snack bar, including beer... More

We just returned from a great showing of this Beatles documentary by Ron Howard. What a fantastic 2 hours spent going back in time to the group's touring days. This movie house had a sound system to do the Fab Four proud. The theater is old time small with comfortable seats with retracting arm rests. The sound system captured the... More

This is a really well-supported classic theatre that has been maintained and operated by a small group of dedicated locals. A fun place for a movie night.

Oh my, such a nice little theater for independent films, classics films & a few mainstream flix. The staff/volunteers are too cool with their love for films & movies, the ticket price is reasonable, the popcorn is really good but parking can be a hinderance. I like it and will be sure to visit again soon.

Here's a testimony: The Grand is largely staffed by devoted volunteers. Most of the people you see working are there because they love film. Typically the only paid staff person is in the box office. The Grand brings hard to find independent, foreign and second run films to our city. There are 4 screens. Tickets are $10 each, with the... More

This is just the best little theater. Not large (though there are usually four different movies showing), it has a multi purpose snack bar that doesn't break the bank and a variety of choices from yogurt pretzels to wasabi peas. They have a special free movie for kids one Saturday a month and just the most friendly staff.

Grand Cinema is an off beat theatre that shows independent films and some that have gone main stream. Theatres are small and comfortable and the popcorn is the best. If you're looking for off beat, this is the place

Why do I love seeing movies here? The management selects quality movies. The popcorn is crisp and fresh. As a member, there's a ticket discount and FREE popcorn. The venue is the opposite of a big business chain. And... having Corina Bakery next door for a sweet treat before or after the show is a perk.
