This third stop on our Woodinville Wine Passport started poorly, then thanks to the manager, Lisa stepping in, got much better. First impression was that this winery was less about the wine than just having a good time. We checked in at the bar, then waited for our first taste. And waited. We had arrived at 5, and there were a lot of other customers who were being brought their tastes on a regular basis while we watched and waited. At 5:20, Lisa approached us and asked us if we had been helped. We told her that we had checked in at the bar, then been ignored from that point. She was very apologetic, and from that moment she took over as our server. She was still bagging up purchases for other customers, but she kept an eye on us and brought us our next taste soon after we finished the previous one. She was very friendly, and even gave us a couple of extra pours because of the poor start. Live music began at 6, and the energy shifted to the patio, so it got a bit quieter inside. The guy behind the bar never even acknowledged us after Lisa took over, and a quick stop by to say sorry would have gone a long way.

We went by and had some of their wine while having pizza at the place next door. Very nice set up and wine was very good.

Most wineries close at 5 PM but Patterson's affords you the opportunity to purchase a full glass of wine and just sit, relax and sip after a full day of wine tasting. The nice thing is you can choose a few to decide upon and they will provide you a sample of each before you buy. You can also do a tasting at the indoor botegga if that is more to your liking. And food is available to have along with your wine. Per glass prices are reasonable and the variety and quality are excellent. The staff is on top of things and you are served very promptly. A great place to end your day of wine tasting.

3.5 overall. We two made lunch reservations on a summer Friday for the pay-in-advance "Vivi Pizzeria Experience". This consisted of a seven-wine flight and a pizza from the next-door restaurant.
It was a pleasant, worthwhile experience.

Parking had been thankfully expanded since our visit.

WINE: 3.0. All the wines in the flight were fine. Separately we ordered a glass of white dessert wine, which met expectations of sweet and strong.

PIZZA: 4.0. The pizza that came with the Vivi Pizzeria Experience was pre-defined (other than being able to choose a gluten-free version). The Patterson website said it would be "Tanina", but when one clicked through to order a different pizza was named; when we arrived the paper tasting descriptions stated "Tanina". What we received was not "Tanina", BUT fortuitously excellent. It appeared to be vegetarian with balsamic oil, fruit (maybe fig?), and a blue-like cheese. It was very good, with a nice crisped medium crust.

SERVICE: 4.0. Though it became busy, we never felt forgotten. One hiccup was when we arrived for our pre-paid reservation. No one was seated inside other than a man in one corner with a laptop and earbuds engaged in a loud virtual business meeting. The waiter indicated we should sit at the table between this man and the bathroom. When we objected, he seated us at primo seats that looked out though a large open window.

Stopped in for a wine tasting with my wife at Patterson Cellars. Tom served us up 5 wines and a Port. Told us about the climate for growing the grapes for each type of wine and provided us with a map, that flipped over to allow us to read about the wines we would be tasting. It seemed to me that he could have offered a bit more info. I would have expected that he would tell us about the Winery, the grapes, and something about wine making process. It was a good way to spend an afternoon and taste some good wine. The winery also drops the cost of a tasting if you buy a bottle, so we took home our favorite Cabernet Sauvignon.

A group of 8 ladies enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Patterson Cellars. We purchased the wine and cheese pairing. The hostess couldn't be more pleasant and informative. The spread was well planned and the wines were delicious. We arrived to a beautifully placed table with to die for cheeses and fruits. This was a bargain and I would highly recommend this for groups, special occasions, or just an afternoon treat

We visited Patterson Cellars for a wine and cheese pairing. I signed us up on the web site, it was very easy. Javin had set our tasting table up before we arrived and was pouring the wines when we walked in. Beautiful tasting room. The cheese tray was nicely done with dried fruits and nuts.
All the wine pairings were in a place mat under each group of glasses. Everything tasted wonderful and we got 10% off our purchases for that day. A great experience I would definitely recommended!

We recently scheduled the wine and cheese pairing experience for 4 at Patterson in Woodinville. We had traveled in from four different states and were staying at Willows for a college reunion. Unfortunately, the big Seattle snow storm hit and many of the wineries were forced to close/cancel. Heidi from Patterson kept in constant contact with me by email. They were able to shovel the driveway and open just in time for our scheduled tasting. When we arrived we were the only group there. By the time we left two hours later, the place was completely packed. When other wineries remained closed, they worked hard to accommodate and keep our scheduled event. The wines were tasty and the staff was amazing. Thank you!!!

The weather was wet and rainy but we were determined that would not stop us from wine tasting in Woodinville. We had coupons for tasting at Patterson which we got from a bottle we purchased earlier. Because the weather was bad not many people were venturing out on a weekday afternoon. We were there with just the proprietor. We enjoyed a wonderful history lesson regarding Washington wines, grapes and vineyards. Patterson's Cabernet Franc is exceptional. All of the wines we tasted were very good but the Cab Franc was our favorite. Thanks for a great time!
