This is a smallish state park just off I77 between Princeton and Beckley WV. While there isn't a lot to do it's a good place for a picnic, a family reunion or a party (nothing wild).

Tiny pristine campground in a high walled valley. Paved, level RV sites. Restrooms rustic but clean. Electric and water on some sites, no sewer at site. Quiet, serene.

My wife and I went to Camp Creek State Park to meet our kids for a weekend of camping. We live above Pittsburgh, Pa., and my daughter and husband live in Columbia SC. This park was exactly the halfway meeting point between the two cities. The campground is right on the edge of the Camp Creek State Forest. The campground... More

There are 2 falls: Mash Creek Parking area is right besides the falls. Campbell falls is 0.3 miles from the parking area. It's a short walk on a level gravel road.

It was adventure to actually get to the park! GPS had us going all kinds of crazy places. Once we finally found it, it was beautiful and definitely worth the stop. I'm gonna say it might be around 1/2 mile hike from the parking area to the falls but it wasn't too steep so most anyone could do it. You... More

Camping areas, shelter rentals, stone grills, individual picnic tables, playgrounds, gift shop. Very nice to hang out and enjoy friends and family. "The Falls" is a must visit. Very shallow parts for wading and even sitting in the water. Beautiful scenery and an ideal place to experience Wild Wonderful West Virginia!

Thanks Angie for your glowing post of Camp Creek State Park & Forest. We agree on the waterfalls being the highlight of Camp Creek. This morning both of the lower falls have a perfect amount of water and are awesome! We hope you can come explore Camp Creek State Park & Forest again very soon. More

Our experience is the park is so beautiful, well kept. Staff is helpful and the facilities are kept clean. The waterfalls are beautiful as well as the hiking trails. Mashfork campground has a very nice bath house and a community fire ring where you can get to know other campers. The rustic camping has incredible views from your tent! The... More

My wife and I picked a bad time to go because everyone was getting ready to go back to school, so the park was swamped with people. This made it very hard to enjoy any swimming in the bigger waterfall of the area. However, if you go back behind the area where everyone is swimming in the large water hole,... More
