We did not stay here but spent a day enjoying all the park has to offer. I did ask for tips and directions at the lodge and was given a full tutorial on everything I wanted to see. Pick up a trail map there. The...More

This is a little out of the way but it is beautiful. It is clean and well kept and the 200 step walkway to the falls is well maintained. Definitely recommend.

One of WV's finest state parks. The falls themselves are beautiful, of course, and there is plenty of great hiking leading to beautiful overlooks and other waterfalls. The cabins are a very nice place to stay.

This park takes your breath away. Yes, you must see the namesake falls. Actually, see is not quite the right word as you will feel the falls deep within your stomach. And yes, you should take a stop at the trading post at the top...More

I hadn't been back to the falls since I was a kid back in the early 60's. My wife had never been there. Back in the 60's, you walked (for what seemed like miles as a kid) along the shore of the river until you...More

On this trip to the falls my husband and I stumbled onto the "gentle trail" to the falls. It is not as close and the view is from a different angle but it was a very easy walk and the views were magnificent.
