Augusta sponsors week long class, a weekend festival (Music in the Parks), and concerts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the summer sessions. We just attended the Thursday evening concert which was a part of Old-time Week. The talent of these performers was amazing. This is not just a local activity - they bring in instructors and students from across the United States and other countries. We always try to attend these concerts, but, unfortunately, it is quite a drive for us so we usually only make one or two. But they are excellent.…

My husband took the intermediate banjo class and I took beginner fiddle - both were fabulous. Instructors are without exception professional and accomplished musicians who were generous with their time and knowledge, and the ones I met personally were nice people, too. We both learned tons. Can't review the sleeping/eating facilities as we rented a small house just off-campus but D&E college is very pretty. The evening activities - jams, square dances, concerts - were great. I might like to try out some other music camps but I would happily come back to Augusta again.…
