We took the scenic dinner train from Elkins. Very scenic, relaxing, staff were great and the dinner was over the top. We were matched with people our age that we found lots of things to chat about. Staff were friendly, helpful ... all was good....More

Going back in time and into the forest. The journey was relaxing and a great way to spend a day with good friends. Seeing the forest via the train is so different than whizzing past on the interstate. You can enjoy the river, the rocks,...More

The Good - Pretty scenery, relaxing ride, friendly staff, and nice lunch. Denny was the highlight of the trip. Without his commentary (and comedy) you would miss a whole lot because you wouldn't know what to look for. The lunch was nice - basically make...More

My wife and I decided to take the rail trip drawing our weekend getaway. It rained most of the trip but I love the trains in the area.

A fun filled ride on a train. Everyone's dream. Very scenic and the falls were breath taking. Everyone should go back in time and ride this train.

Highly recommended! If you do take the trip, upgrade to the Parlor Car. The seating arrangements, food and service are well worth it!

The four hour train ride in the parlor car to the High Falls was indeed a pleasurable trip. Wanted to catch the fall foliage but mother nature didn't cooperate as summer had been too warm and dry. Still the scenic trip was still very enjoyable....More

From Elkins Depot it says no in their rules, however I don’t remember them being very strict. I think I took a water bottle. I went on one that served lunch and that began very shortly after our trip began!

Yeah, no problem. You may not get down steps to some falls attractions but the train rides should be good.
