The views were beautiful. However, the staff members were not overly friendly. We had a great time exploring and recommend the park to others.

We stopped to take a walk feed the ducks and walk around the fort. I love coming here with friends it's very nostalgic. Brings the historic experience to our modern world.

There is an excellent "rails to trails" hike available. The fort is fascinating! There is also a body of water with ducks and geese.

My husband and I were able to visit the cemetery located right next to the fort. It includes the Prickett family as well as Col. Morgan. It is an active cemetery, we learned. It is in need of tender, loving, care. It contains many stones...More

Is the blacksmith there every day of the week? Are we able to take photographs of the inside of Pricketts Fort and the re-enactors? We will be coming from the Pittsburgh area.

We were there during the off-season--no docents and the fort was closed. I suggest visiting the Pricketts Fort State Park website to learn if it can better answer your questions.
