Carnegie Hall was built in 1902 with funds donated by steel baron and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie Hall, Inc. was established in 1983 as a regional, not-for-profit arts and education center to serve Southern West Virginia. The historic, Greek-revival structure houses an auditorium, studios for painting, weaving, pottery and dance; three art galleries; kitchen; administrative offices; and several other rooms used for meeting spaces, classrooms, lectures, receptions, and gatherings of all kinds.

Built in 1902 I believe. Saw Tribute to Little Jimmy Dickens in January 2017 and the place was packed. Although old, the seats were comfortable and it is a cozy performance venue with no bad seats. Also, has an interesting museum that is worth going...More

We came a distance for a visit to the ground-floor art gallery (one large well-laid out room) for an artist we enjoy. Once there, we visited the third-floor art studio and dance studio, chatted with an interesting art instructor, walked through the small concert hall...More

If you are traveling to the Lewisburg area. Check ahead of time to see if Carnagie Hall has any music or shows available. Sometimes they have lessons. I took "drop in" salsa lessons and had a blast! Just google Carnagie Hall to see their schedule.

Being interested in Carnegie, I was interested in seeing this attraction. Unfortunately, I only saw the building and not a show. The building is a fabulous addition to a town as small as Lewisburg. I recommend seeing this just to see how Carnegie donated his...More

Couple years ago saw Kathy Mattea there - it was her Good News Christmas tour - amazing - just like her being in your living room - it's small and perfect for intimate shows. She's a WV girl so we were so excited to see...More

Lewisburg has one of only four of these concert halls funded by the legendary millionaire. Set in a park setting, his building is beautiful and the performances within a tribute to the arts.

I would check the events calendar on the Carnegie Hall WV org website. Looks empty for those dates.
