So many amazing cave formations in such a small space. The Lost World Caverns are very well lit and maintained. The whole thing takes about an hour to walk through, but there are quite a few steps. I picked up tickets via Groupon, but this...More

The tour is self-guided, which means show up when you want (during business hours) and start your tour immediately. You are not bound by a tour guide's script and schedule. Go early on a weekday and you might just have the caverns to yourself at...More

We had a group of three (ages 16 through 51) and the 4 hour, off the beaten path, trek through the caves is simply awesome. You will challenge yourself as you pass through seemingly impossible narrow passages to go from room to room of this...More

Lost World Cavern is an interesting tour stop. The staff are very friendly and a great source of information about the Cavern. It was discovered in 1942 so it's history is recent and that, for me, makes it even more interesting. The Cavern itself has...More

We loved this neat field trip for my daughter's first grade trip! We had a fantastic tour guide, a great tour, learned tons of info, enjoyed the gift shop and a wonderful lunch on the hillside after gem mining! The facilities were clean, the staff...More

I wasn't sure what to expect with this self guided tour, but, it was so much fun and to take your time and just drink in the beauty instead of being hustled along with a tour guide. There were posted signs telling you about each...More

We took the Wild Cave Tour with Steve and Channing "Candy", and had a blast. You get muddy and wet and you're completely exhausted by the end, but would do it again in a heartbeat. Steve is a phenomenal guide and made the tour lighthearted...More

I live in this town and just revisited. I'd forgotten just how amazing this place is. There is a man made entrance that leads to a large open cavern that is filled with beautiful natural rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites. A must see in the...More

Great time with the family. My kids, including teens, love it. The walk can be difficult if you have issues walking distances. It can be chilly inside the cave. Highly recommended for a quick family outing.

This was most certainly worth a detour. Amazing views and not a hard walk. Hard to get to, you have to come from lewisburg, NOT through the neighborhood by the highway. Don't wear super nice clothes and wear a good jacket because the water drips....More

I'm interested in the 4h tour, what I need to prepare? Like what kind of cloth and shoes? Can I bring my camera (a big one) along? Is there locker room at the entrance? Is there only 1 time slot at 10am for the 4h tour? Do I better to register on line?

I would have to agree with all the recommendations NOT to bring your dog into the caverns. It was very slippery and she could easily hurt herself.

Would this be appropriate to take a well-behaved five-year-old on a tour?

The tour would be fine for a 5 year old with supervision. We take several kindergarten classes on a regular basis for school field trips every year and they all walk the entire tour with no problem.
