This is a free museum. You can climb to the top of the mound. Interesting to see the explanations about why the mounds were created.

Plenty of history. This museum is free. It is right across the street from the penitentiary. Take the time to check it out. Walk the trail to the top and check out the view!

Great place for information. the mound itself was interesting. the view from the top was beautiful. the museum was great for someone that had no idea what it was before seeing it. Anyone how likes history would enjoy this place.

This is a must visit if you are in the Moundsville area. This burial mound is over 2000 years old. The museum next to the mound has a plethora of information for your review. An amazing experience!

Indeed, self guided with no pressure. Don't forget to see the gift shop, great marble eggs with a stand to take home! Quiet town, and do take the walk up the mound to take in the view, priceless!
