This is a really nice covered bridge. Sad that is burnt down , but they did a great job of rebuilding it. Nice little war memorial park next to it and you can get great pictures of the bridge for the museum next door.

I'm a covered bridge historian and while in WV we made a special trip to this part of the state to visit the bridge. It's definitely a very busy bridge so we didn't walk through it but it was a thrill to drive across it!...More

Walked in evening before dark, how beautiful, took many pictures, the coal miners memorial is at foot of bridge, great reflection of what happened. Must see

An original covered bridge that you can still drive through if you don't have an oversized vehicle. Too think it's still in use after all these years is amazing.

This bridge has history! My grandson enjoyed the drive through it and goes great with the Barbour County Museum! They are a must do together to get her history and story!

Visited the covered bridge on a cold April day. Enjoyed reading the history, looking at the river and the structure of the bridge. Would have spent more time if I was dressed appropriately :-) (Was dressed for warmer April weather)

It's a bridge in a park. Maybe a 10 minute stop at the most with a museum at the other end it holds some of West Virginia's civil war heritage still used every day.
