The University is located in the heart of the historic town. It is a very nice small school with the old historic building and the new campus connected to the old one down the hill. The old campus is nice with small creek running through and plenty of parking for visitors. It would be more meaningful for students who want... More

What can I say: Charming, charming, and more charming. This college has just been updated to University status. The architecture is beautiful and everywhere are flowers and landscaped gardens. With an attendance of only 5,000 students it is an ideal place for a young person who is looking for a smaller college with the feel of a larger university. The... More

I stopped by the college to inquire of a certificate. The admissions staff was rather nice and I spoke to one student who said that all of his professors were friendly. Student population is around 4000 which allows students to not feel so lost in a crowd. Nice breezes in a pastoral town.

My husband graduated from here 42 yrs ago with 2000 less student population. He was so pleased to see so many new buildings to the campus plus so many new curriculum choices. I was impressed with the Student Wellness Center and the University's music program/symphony ---wonderful! The public can attend choral and symphonic performances. If we weren't so far away,... I had a fantastic four years here. Small little town, close to larger city areas. Martinsburg - 15 minutes. Hagerstown - 30 minutes. DC - 1 hour. (Give or take your driving habits) This town is a great place to have it all, a small town feel with big cities close by.

We are lucky to live near the school and take advantage of the cultural offerings (the plays in the summer, concerts in the winter), the football games in the fall and the gym in the winter.

We were there for homecoming weekend. Everyone was friendly, and nice. Weather was perfect for fall day. Football team won made it better.
