I've done the overnight ghost hunt at Trans Allegheny several times and this is the first experience that I've walked away disappointed. The same staff had been there for many years and everyone that we've worked with since 2012 have left since last March. The new staff is nice enough, but there doesn't seem to be the same level of... This was our second visit to TALA and it didn't disappoint. My daughter and I traveled from Asheville, NC and thoroughly enjoyed both our two-hour Paranormal Tour with Valerie and our eight-hour Ghost Hunt with Brandy. There is so much to explore so we'll definitely be back in the spring. Thanks again to Valerie, Brandy, and all the staff that... More

I liked the fact that the tour guide was knowledgeable about the Asylum. He did a really good job with telling us about the different parts. I absolutely hated the fact that the tour guide to us only cared about the documentary you are doing about the asylum and not actually wanting to stay with our group to do the... More

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your paranormal tour. These tours do not cover the history of the Asylum, but just the paranormal. Perhaps a visit for some history would be in order. 10 years ago when we first began we spoke of others experiences...now we have our own. :) We have several guides available for these and our overnight... My son and I have been doing ghost tours and dabbling in ghost hunts ever since or first encounter. Trans-Allegheny has a wonderful history that would have made the twelve-hour round-trip drive worth it but we got some great video and a couple of decent photos. Of course, the scratches that my son got made it a little more interesting.
