We live about an hour from here but I had never heard of it until yesterday. We took our dogs and had a wonderful hike. The gorge and the waterfalls are absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to come back in the summer and swim in...More

On this trip up to The Dell's we went hiking at Pewit's Nest. We got there around 12:00 and parking was already limited, but fortunately we found a spot. The area was still bare but still was a nice place to home and look at...More

I tell people how much we enjoy going there!! There is a creek that runs through it. And the teenage kids enjoy climbing the rocks. There are also two little waterfalls to go down so if you walk down the creek through the gorge you...More

The place is gorgeous but we went in mid Dec and it was our bad. Our hike was tough even with strong winter gear and could have been dangerous. Still happy we went because the view was amazing!

Beautiful. Stunning. Really that sums it up. What a great place to escape to. The water rushing over the falls is soothing and grounding. Be careful around the top ledges, they are steep and drop far down and the rock is usually wet with dew...More

You go there in the very off season and time of week and day. This is another gem ruined by the vast amount of people and the garbage they leave behind. As a local, I fell in love with this place because I stumbled upon...More

We were told about this place by the desk clerk at our hotel. It was a very beautiful hike. There were a few small waterfalls- people were taking many pictures. The parking lot was small but we had no issues. I would recommend as a...More

Great spot! One of many Wisconsin protected natural areas. Takes quite a bit of effort to see and appreciate but well worth it. Go early to get one of the limited parking spots and whatever you do don't park on the road or you will...More

Amazing little canyon and nature reserve. Too small for much PR but this is really special. Stepping stones, paddling and exploring and a little quiet for meditation.

Hi, Don. What would you like to know about this attraction? Are you able to cliff jump at Pewits Gorge? Is it safe?

Hi Don, I wouldn't try it personally, I don't think it's deep enough. It's important to remember the Pewit's nest is like a short, narrow canyon. In several areas near the edge of the walls it's angled downward slightly... More

Do you need a park sticker? Where do you park?

No, a sticker is not needed and there is no fee. Parking is difficult, little space and regulated on the road, which is County W.

Personally, I don't think so. You have to go into the water and with so many people in a little area, it would be hard to get shots without someone else getting in ty he photo. I would have a backup plan if you decide to go... More
