It was our first time visiting Norskedalen and we are excited to visit again! The tour guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and engaging. His personal anecdotes and charm made it a wonderful time. The buildings are lovely and well taken care of and the grounds are fantastic. We weren't able to walk all the trails, but have plans to do so... More

I loved seeing this Norwegian family immigrant museum in this setting. I got a personal tour by my cousin, and board member of the museum, Pauline Buckland. She was a former tour guide and knows so much about the history of the area and the way Norwegians lived in the 1800's. Gorgeous area geographically. Its tucked away in the valleys... More

Visited Norskedalen to see my two favorite people Tammy and Chris. New Director, Lori Dubzak was not there. When I called she also was not there. What? Is she jsut getting a paycheck? She owns her own business and is NEVER around. I am appalled at what has happened to the place. Its NO fun any more. Noone greets you... More

We visited Norskedalen with some friends from Chicago. We were treated to some great hospitality, with a tour and staff that invited our daughter to even engage with the turtle in their "animal room." We began with a short video, then we could walk around the small gift shop and museum. After that, when we were ready, we were given... More

Jim gave us a very informational tour. The location is remote, but in a very beautiful setting of the Driftless part of Wisconsin.

It was a little bit of a hunt to find it, but so worth the time. The tour was so informative and the setting was gorgeous. I did want to go since my Mother's family had donated several things to the center. Our tour guide was very good and several gentlemen on the tour also provided a lot of information.

We met our long-time friends at Norskedalen, planned due to my spouse's Norwegian heritage. We also stayed overnight in a rental cabin onsite. We enjoyed learning more about the early settlers through a guided tour of a farm recreation and the visitors' center. The cabin was a fun place to stay, although I would not have wanted to try a... This is a very well preserved "village" with several buildings of various types that have been found in various valleys in the area. There are great programs for adults and for kids and it is well maintained and very authentic. If you would like to relive an important part of American history from the 1880s to 1910 or so, you...
