Overview
More
Plum Loco Animal Farm is a permanent home to over 60 farm animals that visitors can pet and feed including ponies, donkeys, miniature horses, horses, 4 breeds of goats, 3 breeds of sheep, pot-bellied pigs, geese and chickens. Visitors can purchase feed pails from our ticket booth that include a scoop of grain for the sheep and goats and a pound of fresh carrots sticks for the ponies, donkeys and horses. Detailed safety instructions are provided at check in that teach visitors how to pet and feed our animals safely. In addition to animal acres, Plum Loco is popular for our play-farm village with a series of authentic child-sized buildings fully stocked with tons of hands-on equipment that allow children to explore their imaginations. The play farm includes a farm house with a fully stocked kitchen, a garden with flowers to plant and transplant, a wash-line with clothes to hang, a barn with pedal tractors, tool bench, landscaping equipment, and a pony corral with plush horses to ride and brush. The 1880's style general store has a farmer's market, cash register, shopping carts and items to buy and sell. We also have an 8 foot farm table complete with barns, animals, fencing, trees, tractors and the like. For older children and adults, we offer a variety of board games (giant chess, checkers and connect 4) as well as popular lawn games.Visitors may picnic in the shaded cedar-log gazebos or selecting ample seating on the lawn that adjoins the play farm.Plum Loco is especially popular for children ages toddler through 8 years of age and animals lovers of all ages.We are handicapped accessible and offer free WiFi. We are open 9:30-4:30 daily (weather permitting) but are closed on Wed - from Memorial Day - Labor Day. From Labor Day to November 1st, Plum Loco is open 9:30-4:30 Sat and Sun. We offer pumpkin sales and painting during the month of October.

We enjoyed three visits to Plum Loco over two summers previously, when our kids were much smaller (our last visit was 4 years ago, and the kids are now 8 and 12). We spent Memorial Day in Door County, and I thought the kids would...More

A great family friendly experience! My kids absolutely love stopping here anytime we are in Door County. You can feed and pet the animals plus there's an activities area as well. Beautiful setting, worth the trip!

This is an incredible place for kids probably 7 and under. We have three under that age and spent a strong three hours and could have stayed longer. Their favorite part was by far the play village with several different buildings and pretend play opportunities....More

Visited Plum Loco on the recommendation of a family we met at our resort. My granddaughters, ages four and two and a half, were at a perfect age for this place. There is a tiny play village (diner, vet office, general store, barn, etc) that...More

A perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon with young children. The entry fee was reasonable. The grandkids loved feeding the animals. You pay a minimal amount for carrots and other food for the animals. The grandkids played in the miniature store and especially...More

We chose this farm because we were staying in Egg Harbo so it was close by, plus it got good reviews. We spent 1 1/2 hours here with a 4 and 6 year old. They enjoyed the animals but had more fun playing in the...More

We've had a family vacation in Door County for 12 years now and each year make a stop at Plum Loco. This is not your familiar petting zoo but an animal rescue operation in a farm setting featuring horses, ponies, goats, sheep, fowl and pigs....More

Thank you so much for your kind words about Plum Loco. You're right! Kids can spend hours in the play-farm village and hopefully future visiting families will allow for enough time for this activity. And although we would love to offer adults some wine, beer,...More
