Nice drive into the park. There are a couple of ports potty’s at the parking area. We hiked the trail which wasn’t really marked but you can see where others have walked. We saw several people turn around because of the lack of a trail map or markings. We also eventually turned around. You are on the top of the bluffs so watch out if you have little kids as you get close to the edge a few times. Views are nice in a few spots.

Drove thru sort of by mistake. Didn't plan ahead, just found the area while driving around. And SO GLAD! Didn't walk any trails, but WOW, what beauty is visible just from the road is unbelievable! Rock formations and flora make for an outstanding time in nature.

We were looking for short trails and this one caught our eye. We may have passed on it if not for a fellow hiker just leaving the trail. He gave us some information--VERY many roots--not muddy, can turn back when ever. No map on info board.
True to his description, a lot of roots but not much up/down and a nice bench to sit and enjoy this view. We were happy hikers when back to the car:)

Quiet. Not crowded. Kind of a hard steep trail but so worth it for the views. There’s a longer trail but we only walked out to the rock overlooking the water. ❤️

The appeal for me was that it was at the very tip of the peninsula, and harder to get to than the other more commonly visited (and crowded) parks in the county. You will have to follow your GPS/Googlemaps carefully to get there from either Gills Rock or Ellison Bay. There is a trail to the edge of the lake bluff, only a couple hundred yards but slow going due to the heavy amout of tree roots you have to walk over. But a fantastic "sit-and -ponder" view when you get there.

I'm not sure where all the trails lead, but I took the main one to the main looking (I think) and I was in heaven! It's so pretty here! :)

great trails with lots of tree roots and rocks to be on the look out for. i would recommend that you wear closed toed shoes with traction. bring water and cover yourself or the horseflies will eat you alive. a few water views, but you are mostly inland. trails are not marked so you need to pay attention.

From the unmarked trail head there is a well used but unmarked and unimproved informal trail that wanders toward the bluff. There is a good view through the trees over the water at the end of the worn trail. A nice very short hike in the woods, it was a nice relaxing moment for us.

We would recommend standard hiking apparel. Shoes/boots with some grip and ankle support. A walking/hiking stick is helpful on the uneven terrain. If there's been rain it could get quite slick, and it'd be a long fall for the overly adventurous. It was dry when we visited so we went in with decent hiking shoes and walking sticks, leaving our hiking boots in the car. There is nothing remotely handicap accessible here.

Okay, I had never heard of this place until I got to Door County and saw it on a local map. The road to the park is one-lane and gravel; pot holes the size of tires! But once you get there: WOW! This is as far north as one can get on the Green Bay side of the Door Peninsula. The trail can be hard to follow, but if you stick with it, you reach a cliff that looks out over the lake from the rarest of perspectives. While standing there with another couple, we saw a freighter leaving the Bay and headed into the Lake, and a pair of turkey vultures flew past just below where we were standing. Definitely watch your step, as the ground is very rocky, and there is no guardrail. But the view is so worth the trouble.

Beautiful, rustic, off the beaten path. Follow signs, drive in a fair way to a circular area you can park in (all gravel roads) and steep downhill hike on rough terrain to a great view. No amenities (unless you count one port a potty). Worth the drive for us, but you need to be more fit and able bodied to get to a spot with a good view. No entrance fee.
