Visit to Tongging Village

On the way back to Medan from Berastagi, our Medanese Friend requested our driver to drive to a little village called Tongging Village. It’s a quiet laid-back place and we saw fishermen rearing fish in a fish farm in the famous Lake Toba. It’s a nice, quiet village to visit.

Yummy seafood

May 2018

We ate at a local eatery, and enjoyed the grilled fish, mini lobsters, fresh vegetables etc. Very splendid view from the restaurant, which is build on stilts by the side of the majestic lake.

do try the grilled and fried fish... very fresh and delicious. and the lake side view is just perfect to go with the food.

Had lunch there...fish was from the lake. Barbequed fresh and price was very reasonable. The place needs some sprucing up and lots of pollution over the years. Still it is worth a visit.
