We attended a comedy show at the Backstage at the Meyer Theater on a Friday night. Naturally, the show was sold out, and the comedian, Brad Upton, was HILARIOUS!
Looking around the room, I estimated there to be about 250 seats set up for the performance and I spotted a bar in the back corner. We were both full from dinner, so we didn't get anything to drink, but it seemed pretty busy, so I suspect the prices are pretty reasonable.
Getting into the Backstage was as easy as it could be. The doors are right up front and the staff checked people in quickly. The stage was only a few feet off the floor, so it felt like a nice, intimate place. The temperature of the room was perfect when we arrived, and it stayed constant during the performance. The sound system was at just the right level. We will definitely put this venue at the top of our list of places to return.

This was the first time my husband and I have been to this beautiful theater for a venue. We attended a Jonny Lang concert which, in itself was soul inspiring but being at this theater was over the top wonderful! We were assisted to our comfy seats on the mezzanine level over looking the stage. Then you look up at the beautiful ceiling, draperies and decor and you are transported back in time. It is truly inspiring! Can’t wait to go back for more!

I love attending concerts and plays at the Meyer Theater. Based on the size, there is not a bad seat in the house. I also think the acoustics are just right. Well preserved and ornate designs. I recommend seeing a show at this historic Green Bay spot!

The concert we attended was awesome and the building was beautiful, however they have a real issue enforcing rules.
We paid premium prices for front row seats, but once the concert started they allowed everyone in the cheap seats to come stand in front of us. When we told the ushers they said that happens all the time, we don't have enough staff to do anything about it.
So the people that paid $35 for the balcony seats got a better view of the concert then we' who paid $100 or more for front row'. Apparently these people knew that ahead of time and knew they wouldn't make them move. They were rude and we got elbowed and had drinks spilled on us. And there is only about a 4 foot isle in front that the mob crowded into.

Ruined the whole concert for us.
So if you really want to see a concert there, buy a balcony seat and stand if front of the stage. They won't do anything about it. VERY POOR !!! Horrible venue for concert&!

I went to the Meyer this past spring to see Trampled By Turtles, and was delighted! The seats were fantastic, almost lounge like, and the other seats seemed to all have a pretty good view. The sound was excellent, drinks were decently priced, and I really enjoyed the historic ambience. I am looking forward to seeing more at the Meyer Theatre.

You can't beat the Meyer for a concert but I question their strange rules at the bar. You cannot order a plain diet cola. If you get a mixed drink with diet cola they will pour it but if you want just a soda all you can get is a bottle, and they do not carry bottles of diet cola. They will NOT sell you a glass of diet cola from the soda gun even though they have it available.

Enjoying a show at the Meyer will take you back to the 1950's style movie house. Beautiful interior just as you remember it. My 9 year old grandson commented that "it's just like a castle". The sound is awesome too.

The Baroque style is so unique. I love the grand staircase, as you enter, but I also love how they've re-done this old theatre with the little insets with settees upstairs, keeping the old touches, while keeping the bars upstairs and downstairs. My husband and I have enjoyed...as other patrons we've talked with at the shows we've attended (and we've attended many!) the fact that we can take our drinks into the show with us. Thank you, Meyer Theatre, for treating us like the adults we are! =} We have enjoyed every single show there, including The Nutcracker, which I took my granddaughter to!

Attended the Frank Christmas plan. The theater is awesome, I have only sat on the lower lever, but all the seats are great. The place is about a 100 years old, the design looks it, but is is maintained like it was built yesterday. Acoustics are good also. It is also really nice that there is free street parking very close.

I go up to Green bay to see the shows put on by Let me be Frank Productions They are a singing and comedy group. We drive up to Green Bay just to see them. This year we bought the season pass and will be up there 6 time to see the shows . Example one was titled 49 1/2 shades of frank. This was about franks sauerkraut and a beauty pageant. It has songs from the 60's throughout the 2 hours show. You should understand that I live in Chicago and drive 3 + hours to see the show.
