It's right outside of Appleton, so I would consider it in attractions near there. The list it on their city tourism site, as well. This was surprisingly big and a great value.

Love the variety of animals. Very caring staff. A joy every time I visit. In the spring and summer they have alot of baby animals which is a delight.

I was surprised by all the animals they had because I don't see them at the zoo's I normally go to. This was a great zoo and I recommend it for anybody in the area. You get to be really close to the animals and interact with them.

The saddest zoo I've ever been to. Sick animals, small enclosures, green water dishes, and the list goes on. Monkeys attacking the cages and bears showing signs of stress. This place needs shut down immediately.

At least once a year we bring my wheelchair mom to the Special Memories Zoo. We can get up close to the animals and enjoy the nicely shaded walk through the zoo. This year we had the privilege to walk along with Melanie, (granddaughter of the owners) as she was feeding the animals. She clearly loves her work as she... More

We look forward to going to this zoo at least yearly. They have a wide variety of animals, from sloths, camels, big cats, Coatimundis, monkeys and more. The zoo also has a train that explores others areas of the zoo, and the person driving the train stops at numerous locations to point out and let people experience these animals, from... More

Yes, the animals are in cages but my granddaughters and I were pleasantly surprised by how large and fun this zoo was for a "local" zoo. We all enjoyed the train ride, stopping at each pen where the guide coaxed each animal out to see us including some rare white raccoons, multi colored deer, a huge badger, and so much... More

Dont expect what you normally get with a big zoo. Animals are up close in cages not necessarily a"habitat". Very nice for children to see animals up close. Cages are clean and workers care for the animals. The petting zoo inside is really cute and great for small children.

They have a nice petting zoo for the children. Grandkids had fun with the kittens. Although throughout the Zoo there was a strong ordor. It was still fun for the kids.

This "zoo" is actually more like "lady who hoards exotic animals". I wanted to like this place since it's cheap and the animals are so close that my 1 year old could actually spot most of the animals. The reality is that all of these animals homes are just too small cages on a concrete slab. They look sad and... More
