Nice little winery. Enjoyed the sample flight very much but didn't feel as welcome here as we have at other wineries.

We had a wonderful time at Cold Country while on our honeymoon! The wine was wonderful, especially the ice wine, which is something we hadn't had before! I am vehind on writing this review so I can't remember the name of the lady that helped us but she was fantastic, she really made us feel at home there sipping wine on a rainy day. Can't wait to visit the area again and stop by!

A little jem in Kewaunee County. Easy tasting and comfortable surroundings. Sample a few nice wines and took a bottle home. What I tasted was on the sweet or semi sweet side but then that’s what I like. Added a room off the store where one can sample the samples. In the summer, I think they still had live entertainment and today was an exciting last 5 minutes of a football game on a big screen tv. Relaxing, beautiful fall day.

For those who are looking for a "wine bar", this isn't for you. I have been to many of the Wisconsin wineries and each one has it's good and could improve. The tasting room is very nice and has a small gift shop. With COVID many of the wineries have had to try and make do to try to adhere to the CDC while trying to keep their businesses going. I went to hear one of the bands and they were great. I was with family and it was a beautiful warm afternoon. I am not sure about renting a glass, I didn't have to. The wine is on ice in a sand pail, which I find fun. Cold Country is not far off the lake and as long as my wine was chilled, it was good. The building where the band plays was horse barn converted. It has a gravel floor and there are chairs provided and a couple of picnic tables. We brought our chairs and snacks and sat outside. It is a small scaled-down version of Ravinia in IL and I am from Wisconsin. They have a great variety of wines from dry to sweet. I like mine on the sweeter side and I love their Brianna. I have been there in the past for wine tastings and the staff is knowledgable and friendly. It is a small community and people are friendly. This isn't Milwaukee or Chicago. Go, try, enjoy, and relax. You won't regret it.

Got out of the car and was greeted by a beautiful and friendly dog. Walk in the door and get a friendly hello. We sampled so great wine. Plus they gave us 5 different cheeses to sample with the wine. I will go back and take many more friends. Thank you.

Stopped here along our Door County travels, on the way up from Illinois, at the recommendation of our daughter and son-in-law who enjoyed this winery while on their honeymoon. Glad we stopped - friendly service at the counter, great (and reasonable) tasting, and we found a couple of wines (red and white) that we really enjoyed. One was from a local Wisconsin vineyard (Captain's Walk Sauvignon Blanc), that my husband enjoyed so much that I eventually ended up ordering a case as a Birthday gift for him after we returned home. Scenic drive also from Cold Country over to the Door.

Very knowledgeable and took the time for explanations and information on pairing. Very friendly and made for a wonderful rainy afternoon activity. Plus ended up with several bottles of great wine!

We stopped in for a tasting after a bike ride on the Ridge Bike trail. We needed to kill some time before our dinner reservations at Gib’s on the Lake. We were there on a Wednesday. Their wine tastings are free and consist of your choice of 5 different wines. All the wines were nice and reasonably priced. The wines were so good, we ended up buying a half case of wine. This was an unexpectedly delightful stop. Who knew that Wisconsin could produce such high quality wines?
Stop in and give it a try.

Went during event. Small cheese plate. Crackers sold in zip lock snack bag. We had to beg for ice bucket to keep our wine cold..it was a kids sand pail...what??Owners heard complaining about too many beer drinkers at event. Owner very crabby and unprofessional. Old warm beer. Bad acoustics in the barn. We won't go there again.

Visited quite a few wineries in East Central Wisconsin, Cold Country is one of the better ones. Very nice selection with very fair prices. Good atmosphere - very much worth a stop.
