I've been visiting the area since I was a young child and now I'm thankful to be able to bring my children. As an adult being able to see over the vast area still amazes me! We visit Grandad bluff everytime we visit!

Grandad Bluff should be a La Crosse must see for anyone that enjoys sweeping panoramic views. It is well worth the drive from downtown to enjoy the views and scenery from Grandad Bluff. There play areas, picnic facilities, and restrooms at the site.

It is a must see. Maybe one of the most beautiful attractions in the nation. You feel energized and happier. I wish the view would be in my balcony.

This was a very nice view of the three states: Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa from the bluff. We enjoyed the short walk to the lookout area by the large US flag. You can't miss. Well worth the short drive over there.

The view is absolutely breath taking!! The wildlife so beautiful (a deer was 15' away from us eating grass). Such beautiful flowers. You drive up a winding road to get to the top, the path is concrete, no stairs, incline not too bad, bathrooms available....More

You'll drive to the top and there's a concrete sidewalk that leads to both the shelter and the overlook. In fact, it's handicapped accessible

It is accessible by car. There is a parking lot and a short, easy walk to the overlook. There are also trails from there for those who want to explore further.
