This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

It was very nice to see some of the great houses but it is a private trail so there are no places to sit and relax along the way that are not in someone's property. It would be nice to have places to stop and...More

Love walking the shore path! Great way to see all of the houses close up. Make sure to wear good shoes, there is a variety of surfaces to walk over from stones to sand to grass.

This is basically a path around the entire lake Geneva via residents front yards. The Indians of the past had walking trails around the lake and the tradition was maintained by the local residents and mansions/rich inhabitants. The path varies and can be rugged in...More

We started from Lake Geneva and walked towards Stone Manor and Buttons Bay. Fabulous views along the walk, interesting and colorful vegetation, and the perfect walk along the lake.

Completely around the lake, even through what appeared to be private property and especially where it appeared the property owners took pride in making the path personal along their stretch. 20 or so miles and refreshment stops only near Lake Geneva or Linn so be...More

Path is narrow in places, but well worth it. The view of the lake and estates are outstanding! You won’t be disappointed!

We walked about 2 miles East along the path from Williams Bay towards Lake Geneva. Gorgeous houses and sturdy path around cedar point. Wish I was there during garden season, but it was a bit too early. We did see about a hundred ducks just...More

We are active an active couple in our 50's and just found out that you can hike all the way around this lake! This is a great hike, not strenuous at all. There are limited access points and not a lot of bathroom opportunities on...More

We have hiked the path several times. Often we will do 1/2 of the path one day and the other 1/2 another day. We love that the homeowners have different types of paths and are very welcoming to those who walk it. It is quite...More

You can walk around the entire lake. but if you're like most people, you'll just walk parts of it. The parts i've walked are beautiful. I usually go from williams bay to fontana. That's nice. Sometimes I've walked from Williams Bay to Lake Geneva city....More

I believe there are playgrounds around the path near the lake, but the path itself might be challenging for a 2 year old. It also might not be that warm up there at this time of year. It is definitely less than 2 hours away.
