This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

Get your walking shoes on! This is by far the best way to see Lake Geneva. The walking is fairly easy. You can do the whole lake (21 miles...a very long day) or just a few miles. Some of the boat charters will even drop...More

We walked from the Lake Geneva Library to Williams Bay which is about 7 miles. It took us about 3.5 hours with four teenagers. It was a decent walk. At times it was hard to identify the path but we just kept close to the...More

Neat-o. Really, all the property owners providing a public path along the shoreline! We had a great stroll enjoying lake views and beautiful back yards. The path varied from lovely wide stone to one foot wide dirt so on foot is the only way to...More

I ran on the path from Fontana, east on the north shore, about 5 miles (to the midway point on the east side of Williams Bay (the water bay not the town)), and then back and then about 2 miles to the east of Fontana...More

This is an awesome walking path past the beautiful homes along Lake Geneva. Lake Geneva is one of the few, if not the only lakes where the path around the lake is open to the public. Beautiful homes and view of the lake. Perfect summer...More

The path was cute but is quite short. Not long enough to be its own activity. I wish they would've had the same pavement/ground for the length of the path- it was flooded in parts, muddy, lumpy or uneven. I wouldn't say it is a...More

I enjoyed this walk but in 2 hour increments over several Friday mornings. We would take 2 cars, leave one and drive to where we would start. We would start in the direction of lunch. All places ( Linn Rd, Fontana, Williams Bay, Lake Geneva...More

I have hiked the 22-miles around the lake twice. We hiked from the Fontana end (parking at the Abbey resort) around the north shore to the town of Lake Geneva. There are lots of lunch options there and it's a great break. Then the second...More

I had no idea there was a full walking path. Poor signage. We were looking for walking trails and never found them.

We love walking the Geneva path! Whether you want to walk a few miles or the full 26, the views are second to none! From downtown Lake Geneva in either direction you walk by beautiful gardens of historic mansions right along the lakefront.

It might be a good start to park at the cruise ship dock area, that way you can return there. If you look at the map, there are plenty of places to access the path, so it is really up to you as to what you are looking to... More

I know runners who have tried to run this path and they have said it is difficult because of the unevenness and angles of the path.
