This place gets packed on weekends by a lot of Chicago people. Early spring or late fall are the times to go. Some very nice hiking trails. The beach is across the road from the park and isn't very wide or long.

The campground is very nicely laid out, tucked back in the park. Close to the hustle and bustle of Lake Geneva but you feel away from it all. The main shower/bathroom is very nice: private showers, family shower/restroom, mirrors with outlets and shelves in women's...More

The long, narrow strip of sand, backing the highway, hardly counts as a beach. Depending on the water level, there may be 5-6 feet of sand between you and the highway. Speedboats frequently drop anchor here and blare their music. There is no shade and...More

We made reservations online, drove 6 hours only to be told we were unable to stay in the spot we had reserved with our camper. Check in staff was horribly rude and not accommodating. The only good thing about visiting the park was turning around...More

We use to take our kids here during summer and was surprised to see that they now charge to park, go on beach and have many more restrictions. It seemed like a commercial spot rather than a fun beach for families now.

We checked out park as cheap access to beach. Riviera beach charges $7 per person and big foot is $10 a car. If beach is what you are looking for you may be disappointed. Beach VERY narrow and right on road, I mean it's like...More

The family visited this beach on a Monday and Tuesday. No crowds or hassle. Nothing fancy, just clean water, easy access and beautiful scenery.

We did family camping at Big Foot Beach State park during July 4th weekend. Altogether we were 7 families. We had multiple camp sites reserved. Noticed that for some reason our site was lot more specious compared to other sites. Restrooms were impressive. Newly built...More
