Pinecrest Historical Village is a must see for history lovers. This hidden gem of Manitowoc county is just a short drive off the beaten path. There are several historical buildings- houses, a school, church, dance pavilion, storefronts, train station, train, etc, all moved to this acreage from places in Manitowoc county throughout the years. The best part is that, unlike... More

It was a very interesting village. We enjoyed going into the different shops, homes, and church house. Was a little disappointed that they didn't have people in costume dress of that period of time in the village to give us more information. I understand they do sometimes but they didn't the day we were there. We did enjoy our afternoon... More

A historical treasure. I was not aware that this village was in Manitowoc until my friends invited me to enjoy it with them. I am so happy I was able to go! Pinecrest historical village is a great place to experience what live was like in the 1800 early 1900s. Our guide provided interesting and fun historical facts while we... More

We toured this location in the fall, the colors were priceless. The way the village is set up makes one feel as if the master of house or the mistress of the school just stepped out for a minute and time kept going. Pinecrest Historical Village is great even for children! My daughter loves the train the most of course!

25 old homes and business structures relocated to Manitowoc county and made into a village. Walking tour that included an audio set that described each building/business using accents of the period being represented. Educational.

We happened on this by accident decided to check it out. do not go in expecting the buildings to be staffed with people in period costume. There is one person at the front and that is it. I recommend the audio tour.

Wonderful old buildings with furnishings. Great insight into the way people lived in this area. Neat old buildings. Narrated tour from a hand held device. Old country store, tailoring shop, houses, schoolhouse, etc. A baseball game was played the day I visited with the teams in vintage garb.

Several buildings dating more than one hundred years old from around the area make up this little village. We take our daughter there at least once every year. Always have a great day out.
